UTBK IPB University Spread in Three Locations, Don’t Get the Exam Location and Time Wrong
The UTBK or Computer-Based Written Test is just around the corner. For those of you who carry out UTBK at IPB University, don’t get the wrong location and exam time.
The reason is, the UTBK location at IPB University is spread across three campuses, which are IPB Vocational School Campus Cilibende Bogor City, IPB Business School Campus Gunung Gede Bogor City, and IPB Dramaga Campus Bogor Regency.
To find out which IPB campus is your exam location, including the schedule and exam rooms, you can check it on the UTBK participant card. Because the distance between the three campus locations is quite far, especially between IPB Dramaga campus and the other two campuses, it would be better if you survey the location of the exam room before the D-day.
IPB Vocational School Campus Cilibende is located at Jalan Kumbang No.14, RT.02/RW.06, Babakan, Central Bogor District, Bogor City. The location of IPB Business School Campus is located at Jalan Raya Pajajaran, RT.03/RW.06, Babakan, Central Bogor District, Bogor City. The campus of IPB Dramaga is located at Jalan Raya Dramaga, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency.
The distance between the two IPB campuses in Bogor City (Vocational School and Business School) and IPB Dramaga Campus is quite far, about 15 kilometres. Travelling time from Bogor City to Dramaga can take about one hour by car, 45 minutes by motorbike, and two hours by public transport.
For that, make sure you don’t get misplaced and late, especially for the Dramaga area which is prone to traffic jams. Don’t forget to allocate more time around 15 to 30 minutes to anticipate if there is traffic jam.
Before entering the Dramaga area, there are two public transport terminals, which are Bubulak and Laladon terminals. So you can be sure that the surrounding traffic will be very busy with angkot, buses, trucks, and other motorised vehicles. Alternative roads such as the Laladon Outer Ring Road can be an option if you want to avoid congestion.
Alternatively, to anticipate the traffic jam on Jalan Raya Dramaga and the queue at the main gate, you can also choose to enter the campus through door 2 (back gate). If needed, use Google Maps to help you find the best route.
On another note, you also need to pay close attention to the UTBK location, especially if your exam location is at IPB Dramaga Campus. This is because the exam locations are spread across four points: Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Faculty of Animal Sciences (Fapet), Faculty of Agricultural Technology (Fateta), and Library Building A and B.
The four locations are scattered with a distance that also takes relatively time. Therefore, it is highly recommended to do a survey before the day of the event so that you can estimate the distance yourself.
