IPB University Distributes Compensation to 1486 Orphans in Campus Circle Village

Every year, IPB University routinely distributes compensation to orphans in the Campus Circle Village. This year IPB University again distributed compensation to 1486 orphans in the activity of IPB Peduli Santunan Anak Yatim 2024 with the theme “Knitting Brotherhood by Sharing with Others” which was held in the Senate Conference Room, Rectorate Building, Campus IPB Darmaga Bogor, on 2/4.

In her speech, Dr Indah Yuliasih, Acting Director of Business Management, Investment, Sustainable Funds and Waqf conveyed that the collection of funds for orphans compared to 2023 experienced a significant increase with an increase of 65 percent.

“The collection of compensation funds is carried out from February 26 to April 1, 2024. The collection of funds for orphans started on February 21 and the funds to be distributed are worth 520 million,” said Dr Indah.

She further said that the orphan data collected at this time there were 1008 orphans so that the compensation would be given in two stages. The first stage will be given to 1008 orphans, then for the second stage will be given at the moment of admission of new students to fund the education of orphans,” she said.

Dr Indah added that the total incoming funds 75 percent came from internal stakeholders and 25 percent came from external stakeholders. “Each child will get compensation worth 350 thousand rupiah and Lebaran hampers from Botani Bakery. I hope this compensation is useful for children who really need it,” she said.

Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation to the people of IPB University for their participation in the compensation of orphans in the IPB Campus Circle Village managed by the Business Management Agency, Investment, Sustainable Funds and Waqf.

“Hopefully, this charity can inspire children and there will be many children dreaming to be able to go to high school. Thank you to the sub-district heads, village heads who have helped distribute the compensation of IPB University. Hopefully this activity can bring blessings to all of us,” said Prof Arif.
