IPB University Students Win 1st Place in JR-ROVATION Event with Traffic Simulator Board Game Innovation

Mahasiswa IPB University Raih Juara 1 dalam Ajang JR-ROVATION dengan Inovasi Board Game Traffic Simulator
Achievement

Four students from IPB University made brilliant achievements in the Jasa Raharja Road Safety Innovation (JR-ROVATION) competition held by PT Jasa Raharja, 2/3. This competition aims to support young innovators from university students throughout Indonesia. The innovation raised is to create a programme or work to improve driving safety and reduce the number of traffic accidents.

The IPB University student team consisted of Muhammad Abdulah Romdhoni, Ayu Amalia Sari, Mira Nadhira, and Monica Aulia Pratiwi. The students came from different faculties, such as Faculty of Animal Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, and Faculty of Economics and Management. Despite coming from different faculty backgrounds, IPB University students are able to work together to create extraordinary innovations.

The innovation they proposed was “Traffic Simulator: Traffic Board Game as a Simulation of Safe and Obedient Driving through the Implementation of the Safety.id Programme for Teenagers.” This board game is designed to minimise accident cases in children and teenagers by providing safe and obedient driving simulations through the Safety.id program.

In the social category, this team won first place, outperforming other teams from all over Indonesia. This success shows that IPB University students not only excel in agriculture, but are also able to compete and achieve achievements in other fields.

Ayu Amalia Sari, one of the team members, stated that IPB University students should not be afraid to try things outside their field of study. “This competition is very worth it to follow, not because IPB University is identical to agriculture but we can follow various types of competition activities like this one of them,” she said.

She also hoped that this innovative idea could be developed further to give a greater positive impact.

This achievement confirms that different faculty backgrounds do not prevent IPB University students from participating in competitions outside their field of study. This success also shows the innovative spirit and courage of IPB University students to compete and make a positive contribution to society through their ideas and work. (AAS) (IAAS/RUM)
