IPB University through the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) IPB University will carry out the international accreditation process through the Agency for Quality Assurance (AQAS). Therefore, the Faculty of Economics and Management in collaboration with the Office of Quality Management (KMM) IPB University held a Workshop on Preparation for AQAS Accreditation which was held in the FEM Conference Room 2nd Floor, IPB Dramaga Campus, on Thursday, 21/3.

The resource person presented came from the Quality Assurance Unit of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), which was Dr Heny Hendrayati. The activity was officially opened by Dr I Wayan Nurjaya, as the Chairman of KMM IPB University.

“International accreditation is very important to attract new prospective students as well as to make alumni easy to get a job, and can get recognition by partners both at home and abroad,” said Dr I Wayan.

Meanwhile, Dr Wita Juwita Ermawati, as Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni of FEM IPB University hoped that the activity could share the knowledge and experience of the speakers in obtaining accreditation achievements from AQAS.

“The AQAS international accreditation for FEM IPB University will be divided into two scientific clusters, namely the management cluster for Management and Agribusiness study programmes and the economic science cluster for Development Economics, Resource and Environmental Economics, and Sharia Economics study programmes,” said Dr Wita.

Dr Heny Hendrayati, as the resource person, delivered material related to filling out the Self Evaluation Report (SER) in preparation for AQAS international accreditation.

“SER is a document written by a study programme or cluster that serves to present the main characteristics of the study programme for review and accreditation. The main key to the AQAS Visitation lies in the report on the implementation of the programme that has been carried out and appropriately stated in the preparation of the SER,” she said.

Dr Heny said that the purpose of this workshop is for participants involved in AQAS international accreditation to comprehensively understand SER, collect data and information in filling SER and prepare SER according to their respective clusters.
