Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) and Dumlupinar University (DU, Turkey) have carried out Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing in IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor on April 30th, 2019, presented by IPB Rector—Dr. Arif Satria and DU Vice Rector—Prof. Kaan Erarslan. Dr. Arif Satria in his remarks stated how widely emerging the Turkish culture development throughout Indonesia. He declared as well despite status as global top tier agriculture-based tertiary institutions, IPB focuses study & research on agricultural field in broad meaning, including engineering, economy & human ecology. Each year IPB is calling students all over the world to partake in several numbers of short programs organized by IPB. Providing both academic exchange & local wisdom sharing, Dr. Arif Satria on behalf of IPB encouraged DU students to participate. Prof. Kaan Erarslan expressed his sincere amazement towards Indonesia’s beauty as a whole and hopes this collaboration can be a concrete step. It may start from student exchanges, joint (master’s and doctoral) degrees, or stronger cooperation through Erasmus+ program. DU with their thirty thousand students, nine faculties, and four vocational study programs is looking forward to pair their excellence—especially in science, economics, and technology field, with IPB to advance each other’s strengths.
