Dr. Megawati Simanjuntak from Faculty of Human Ecology, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB)—with her paper entitled “Coping Strategies in Consumer Complaints” was granted The Distinguished Paper Award at International Conference on Industry, Business and Social Sciences (IBSS) 2018 on August 22nd-24th, 2018 in Tokyo, Japan. Organized by The Global Academic-Industrial Cooperation Society, conference series consisted of International Conference on Industry, Business and Social Sciences 2018, International Conference on Education and Learning 2018, International Conference on Engineering, Science and Applications 2018, International Conference on Health, Fitness and Exercise Science 2018, and International Conference on Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management 2018. IBSS aimed to be platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners and industrial professionals from all around the World to present their work on business, social media and social science field.The opening remarks were given by Takuya Kitagawa from Rakuten, Inc PhD Executive Officer, I Made Sudjana, SE., MM., CHT., CHA, as Director of Bali International Tourism College, Dr. Michel Soto Chalhoub, PE, SE, MPP, Fmr. Sr. as Director of Cap Gemini Ernst and Young. The selected papers were published in ISI-indexed Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) where out of total 449 papers received from 29 countries, the acceptance percentage was roughly 71%, and among 340 participants 273 papers were presented in 40 oral and 4 poster sessions. In IBSS itself, out of 75 papers represented orally, merely 8 papers were granted The Distinguished Paper Award.
