Visit of Students of SMA Taman Harapan 2 Bekasi in IPB

As much as 60 students of Senior Highschool (SMA) Taman Harapan 2 Bekasi came to Bogor Agricultural University, (20/1). This visit was in order to provide information and knowledge to the students about the university they would choose later, particularly regarding IPB. The delegation was welcomed at Auditorium of Andi Hakim Nasution (AHN), Campus of IPB Darmaga, Bogor. 

 

One of the teachers of SMA Taman Harapan 2 Bekasi, Lilis S.Pd, revealed that with this visit it could increase the knowledge and expand the broader horizons about the university. “Other than that, it certainly obtains the important information about the entrance to IPB,” she said.

 

In this visit, Head of Public Relations, Bureau of Law, Promotion and Public Relations (BHPH) of IPB, Siti Nuryati, S.TP, M.Si, provided an overview of IPB. In front of the students, she also gave them motivation to get into IPB. When given the explanation, the students seemed very enthusiastic about listening, seen when the question and answer session there were many questions raised by the students.

 

Next, the students had the opportunity to visit to Center for Development  of Science and Technology of Food and Agriculture of Southeast Asia (SEAFAST Center), Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM) of IPB. Here, the students followed directly the process of making bread and corn noodle. 

 

“I am very happy to join this visit, because I can visit one of the best campus. I am interested in the Faculty of Agriculture of IPB, hopefully later I can be accepted in IPB,” said Bintang,  one of the participants of the visit from SMA Taman Harapan 2.(RF)
