Public Speaking Training is a major bridge to the career in the business world, a harmonious social life, and problem-solving anywhere. When we have a remarkable ability, others will not know if we do not "sell" it through a public speaking. Therefore, the Directorate of Career Development and Alumni Relations (CDA) of IPB held public speaking training for faculty members, educational staff, students and Agrianita of IPB, 14/10. Director of CDA, Dr. Syarifah Iis Aisyah says, "Public Speaking is the most valuable science today because with the public speaking skill, it will be easy for a person to achieve success."

The TV practitioner and popular Public Speaking instructor, Razaini Taher, who is also IPB alumni of Batch-21 (Agathis) is invited as a resource person. The students’ problems that can affect their career are, among others, lack of social skills and behaviors such as unattractive speaking manners and dress, walking, sitting and standing. These should be changed through regular public speaking training that they can understand and this can increase their self-confidence in public. "Public speaking skills are needed in various activities: business, chairing meetings, product sales, welcoming speech, negotiation, teaching, campaigns, gathering and other activities," he said. He gave us tips on how to not be afraid to speak in public, embrace the audience, control the body language, manage vocals, make presentations interesting, how to dress, and so on. (Mtd)
