36 students of IPB University follow the Merdeka Student Exchange to 11 universities in Indonesia

Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Prof Deni Noviana released 36 students of IPB University students to take part in the Independent Student Exchange (PMM) 4 Outbound program which is one of the Freedom of Learning – Independence Campus (MBKM) programs from the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud). The students followed the PMM program in 11 universities in Indonesia. The release ceremony was held at the Student Innopreneurship Center Building, IPB, Dramaga Campus, on Monday, 22/1.

“Congratulations on your achievements, you are the lucky ones because this program is competitive, the most mobilized program. Tens of thousands of students throughout Indonesia exchange to gain knowledge and experience in other universities for one semester,” said Prof Deni.

Prof Deni continued, that PMM Outbound activity became an extraordinary program, and was a breakthrough so that the walls of higher education could be broken through this program.

Prof Deni advised the students who had been selected for the PMM program to continue to make achievements for themselves, study programs, departments, faculties, and the IPB University campus. “You have brought the name of IPB University, so I hope you can show a good attitude and also be able to adapt well. It’s good that you also make a record of the activities carried out,” he said.

Coordinator of PMM 4 IPB University, Dr Utami Dyah Syafitri reported on the process of implementing the PMM program. “Students who registered for PMM 4 amounted to 164 students, but there were 36 students who passed, consisting of 4 students from undergraduate programs and 32 vocational students,” said the Director of Education Administration of IPB University.

She continued, currently, there are 11 universities where IPB University students study, namely the Bali Institute of Science and Business, Bali State Polytechnic, Batam State Polytechnic, Manado State Polytechnic, Medan State Polytechnic, Pontianak State Polytechnic, Payakumbuh State Agricultural Polytechnic, Andalas University, Haluoleo University, Batam International University, Mataram University, Muhammadiyah Sorong Education University, North Sumatra University, and Syiah Kuala University.

“You are brave, dare to sacrifice your comfort zone while studying at IPB University. You are currently assigned to maintain the good name of IPB University. Goodbye, good luck with your education,” concluded Dr Utami. (DH/Lp) (IAAS/SNI)
