IPB University's Farmers and Fishery Center (TNC) has successfully held the Freedom of Learning – Independence Campus (MBKM) program at Kampus Sawah Merdeka (PUSAKA) Batch 2 which has been running from April 2022 to March 2023. 

The MBKM PUSAKA program is a learning space held by TNC IPB University together with the Nusantara Farmers Movement (GPN) with the aim of plant breeding to sustainable seed industrialization.

MBKM PUSAKA Batch 2 Program Coordinator, Tri Budiarto SKPm, MSi thanked all parties involved in this program, both farmers, teaching lecturers, partner campus lecturers and students. In addition, he also hopes that this program can provide benefits in the field of agriculture.
 
"I hope that all parties involved can apply the material obtained from lecture and practicum activities in this program, so that friends can become a sociopreneurship, especially in the field of rice seedlings," he said during the MBKM PUSAKA Batch 2 Closing Ceremony on Saturday (1/4).
 
Head of TNC IPB University, Prof Hermanu Triwidodo expressed his gratitude to all parties who contributed to this program. He hopes that all parties involved can work together to fight for the interests of farmers in Indonesia.
 
Vice Head of TNC IPB University, Dr Roza Yusfiandayani added, this program can create millennial farmers and foster the spirit of entrepreneurship in agriculture.

Sri Indah, a participant representative from IPB University, gave her impression of MBKM PUSAKA Batch 2. According to her, this activity provided an opportunity for participants to see the seed production process in the field, from packaging, storage, to distribution. "So far, I like all the activities in MBKM PUSAKA," she said.

A representative of TNC IPB University partner farmers from Bojonegoro, Darmaji, thanked the MBKM PUSAKA program for involving farmers in the field. In addition, he also hopes that all farmers are always guided and involved in agricultural activities.
 
The MBKM PUSAKA program also involves lecturers from partner universities to be directly involved in the activities. The Chairman of the College of Agriculture (Stiper) Flores Bajawa, Dr Nicolaus Noywuli said, "As a leader who participated directly in this activity, I would like to express my appreciation to the Tani and Nelayan Center IPB for facilitating STIPER Flores Bajawa to collaborate in this activity. This program provides extraordinary lessons for lecturers and students, especially at STIPER Flores Bajawa," he said.

The MBKM PUSAKA Batch 2 program was attended by 174 students, 18 program management lecturers and 18 driving lecturers from 5 universities, such as IPB University, Bojonegoro University, Jember University, Udayana University and STIPER Flores Bajawa. In addition, the program was also attended by facilitator partner farmers from GPN. (IAAS/RUM)
