IPB is Granted as The Only One “Informative” University in The Country

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) is just recently declared as an “Informative” higher education institution, according to Indonesian Central Information Commission (KIP). In addition, IPB came out as the one and only university throughout the country who accomplished this very status. The ceremony was held in Vice Presidential Palace of Republic of Indonesia, South Medan Merdeka Street, Central Jakarta, during Report on Public Information Openness Implementation and Public Units Information Openness Inauguration 2018. Dr. Arif Satria as Rector of IPB declared his wish that this award can boost up IPB academia on achieving the target of ‘good university governance’. The remarkable public openness of IPB has been portrayed through its website, social media, mass media, external and internal media. The informative assessment indicators focused on website development and public information announcements. In addition to “Informative” university category, awards were also given to universities considered as “Towards Informative” and “Quite Informative”. KIP Chair–Gede Narayana stated that they ought to award public bodies that met the best performance qualifications in order to boost the public openness in forthcoming future.
