IPB University is conducting the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) as part of the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) in 2024. UTBK Wave 1 will be held on April 30 and May 2-7, 2024, while Wave 2 will take place on May 14-17, 2024.

UTBK at IPB University will be conducted at three locations: the Dramaga Campus, the Cilibende Vocational School Campus, and the Gunung Gede Business School Campus.

To support the smooth conduct of UTBK, IPB University has prepared various facilities and services, including campus buses (in the Dramaga area), toilets, parking spaces, mosques and prayer rooms, and healthcare personnel. Additionally, toilets are available around the exam locations and at the Graduation Hall (GWW) for accompanying individuals.

Furthermore, a technical team has been deployed to handle various tasks. Akhmad Kosasih, SE, the Director of General Affairs and Infrastructure at IPB University, explained that the team consists of 45 personnel with diverse responsibilities.

The technical team includes 7 technicians for electricity, water, and air conditioning, 10 shuttle bus drivers, 2 electric car drivers, 14 security guards stationed at exam locations, 6 parking attendants, and 3 toilet cleaning staff.

Regarding parking, participants who are dropped off at the Computer Center or Library Building using vehicles (two-wheelers or four-wheelers) can proceed directly to the exam drop-off area. The accompanying vehicles can then be parked in the GWW parking area.

“For participants who drive themselves without being dropped off, they cannot go directly to the exam location but must park their vehicles in the GWW parking area. Participants will be taken to the location using IPB shuttle buses,” he explained.

Additionally, participants taking exams at the Fapet and Fateta can park their vehicles directly in the respective exam location parking areas. Participants taking exams at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) can utilize the Gymnasium parking area.

Not only parking, but the reliability of electricity and water is also highly prioritized. “We are fully prepared to provide the best for the UTBK activities. The continuous supply of water and electricity is crucial for comfort and service during the exam process,” he said.

As a preventive measure for electricity reliability, the central committee and IPB University have officially informed the local power company (PLN). Three PLN Bogor personnel will be on standby at IPB University to ensure electricity reliability.

“We have also anticipated by preparing generators at specific points, including at the Vocational School on the Cilibende Campus. Mobile generators are also prepared. We strive to avoid power outages,” he added during the interview. (IAAS/HAP)
