With the beginning of the new student admission period, IPB University has become one of the centers for conducting the Computer Based Written Test – National Selection Based Test (UTBK-SNBT).

In order to ensure the smooth transportation and mobility of the participants to the exam center, especially for the UTBK candidates at the Dramaga Campus, IPB University provides campus buses as a means of transportation during the test period.

UTBK locations at IPB Dramaga campus are located at Faculty of Mathematics and Science (FMIPA), Faculty of Animal Husbandry (Fapet), Faculty of Agricultural Technology (Fateta), and Library Building A and B.

Akhmad Kosasih, SE, Director of Public and Infrastructure of IPB University, explained that during the SNBT exam period, IPB University prepared 10 bus fleets that operated according to the exam schedule.

During exam time, unlike normal days, campus buses are in full operation. The bus service area is divided into three corridors:
1. Corridor 1: Graha Widya Wisuda (GWW) – School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB) – GWW via Asrama Putri;
2. Corridor 2: GWW – SKHB – GWW via Library;
3. Corridor 3: GWW – SKHB – GWW via Rectorate.

This mobile bus will transport the candidates from GWW to the exam venue, especially for those who will take the exam at the Library / Computer Center by bringing their own vehicle (not provided). Therefore, those who bring their own vehicles (2-wheeled or 4-wheeled) must park their vehicles in the GWW parking lot.

In the risk management of transportation procurement during UTBK-SNBT, IPB University ensures the feasibility and safety of campus buses. “We make sure that campus bus drivers work based on driving rules within the campus environment. In addition, we prioritize the safety, comfort and tranquility of the participants,” said Akhmad Kosasih.

One of IPB University’s campus bus drivers, Ade Karyono, shared his preparation for bus operations during the UTBK-SNBT period. “What distinguishes ordinary days from the SNBT period is that bus drivers have a route schedule that is adjusted to the exam start and finish schedule,” he explained.

Prior to the UTBK-SNBT period, IPB University’s Directorate of Public and Infrastructure held a briefing for campus bus drivers to coordinate the campus bus fleet on operating schedules and routes during the exam period.

Ade Karyono also explained that during UTBK-SNBT, campus buses will continue to operate on Saturdays and Sundays with a schedule adjusted to the exam time. (Ananda/Rz) (IAAS/ZQA)
