IPB Accompanies Tenants to Acquire Business Legality Permit
Dozens of tenants coached by Center for Business Incubator, Institute of Research and Community Empowerment, Bogor Agricultural University (Incubie LPPM IPB), included the ones that received Incentive Program from Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) those are 5 tenants of Technology-Based Startups and 4 co-incubation tenants of Technology Business Incubation Center (TBIC) – Puspitek, got strengthening in the form of Capacity Building and Business Matching, Strengthening Innovative Agro- Tech Startups Through Technology Business Incubator, Monday (12/11) at Asana Grand Pangrango 2.
Dr. Ir. Rokhani Hasbullah, M.Si., Head of IncuBie LPPM IPB in his welcoming speech conveyed this strengthen of Capacity Building and Business Matching is a part of training debriefing received by IncuBie IPB’s tenants. “It is necessary for tenants to have product legality aspect. With this moment, it will be conducted experience sharing from each participant,” said Dr. Rokhani.
Result of survey conducted by IncuBie LPPM IPB under coordination of Head for Incubation Program Division IncuBie IPB, Deva Primadia Almada, SPi, M.Si. and team showed tenants’ main problem is in term of marketing and legality aspect because for beginner tenants product legality is very difficult. Especially tenants who sell food and beverage, this case has high risk potency. “Other than that, permit administration is quite render difficult. Meanwhile, the entrepreneurs are start-ups, so their products are not yet well-known to people. Whereas the competitors in this field are well-established. With the help in licensing process from us, we want tenants coached by IncuBie IPB expand marketing area to the provincial, domestic even international level so that product seller’s permit arrangement is necessary to be done,” explained Dr. Rokhani.
Furthermore, Dr. Rokhani explained IncuBie IPB provides various services. Services of Business Incubator IPB for tenants include providing production or business workshop for inwall tenants. “We have incubator facility for inwall tenants with 12 rooms in Dramaga Campus and five rooms in Baranangsiang Campus,” he said. Other than that, said Dr. Rokhani, IncuBie IPB also provides
food processing machine, facilitation the access of laboratories in IPB, facilitation of designing Business Model Canvas (BMC), business plan and action plan for tenants, technology consultation, technical of production and business management, facilitation of product certification, seller’s permit, business permit, source of capital, and product marketing. Beside accompaniment in making tenant’s funding program proposal and business plan, providing mentors and coaches, also facilitating students’ research related to business incubator and entrepreneurship.
“In the efforts to help marketing, we established cooperation in 2012 and in 2015 the cooperation has obtained legality. With the cooperation platform which is expected able to help tenants’ product marketing. Moreover, tenants’ raw material requirement will be provided by cooperation. It is suggested all tenants can join in Indonesia Business Incubator Cooperation (KIBI).
