Closing of the 53rd IPB’s Anniversary

The series of activities in the IPB’s 53rd Anniversary were officially closed on Friday (7/10), by IPB Rector, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, in the Rector Building of Andi Hakim Nasution, Darmaga campus of IPB Bogor. Rector congratulated and thanked all members of the IPB’s 53rd Anniversary, who have organized it well and smoothly.

He said the theme of IPB’s 53rd Anniversary, "IPB’s Innovation for the Welfare of the Nation", is in line with the year of 2016 as the year of innovation reputation. "Continue to work and innovate for the betterment of the nation and the state," he said.

Earlier, Chairman of IPB’s 53rd Anniversary Committee, Dr. Meika Syahbana Rusli said the Anniversary started from August 31, 2016 with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of the Council IPB Professor followed by the opening ceremony of the 53rd Anniversary and welcoming new students of multi strata, social services in villages around IPB’s campus; healthy morning walk and bazaar, Agri Symphony, opening house of  Science Techno Park and launching of IPB’s innovations and Open Session of the IPB’s 53rd Anniversary.

In this occasion prizes were submitted for the badminton championship and the tournament of Oryza Baseball Softball Cup 2016. The first winner of the badminton championship is the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) –A, the 2nd winner the Faculty of Forestry, 3rd winner Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) -A; and 4th the Graduate School (SPs). Meanwhile Oryza Baseball Softball Cup championship 2016 was won by Redfox in both men and women categories. (Mtd)
