Albertus Karel, the Best Graduate of Faculty of Agricultural Technology

"I took IPB because it is one of the leading universities in Indonesia. I had been graduated from Marsudirini High School, Bekasi. Two most memorable and exciting memories I had are the beginning and end of my study at IPB. ‘Requirement’ for all students of IPB to reside at the dormitory in their first year, was actually become the special memory for me. The life in the IPB dormitory was really the real implementation of  "Unity in Diversity" of Indonesia, as various students from different part of Indonesia have opportunities to interact and exchange ideas one another. At the final term of my study, I had the opportunity to attend the training course  and international symposium for two months at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. It becomes a valuable experience for me to learn how the developed country like Japan has been focusing on the development of its agricultural technology ".

"In my previous school, SMAN 1 Mejayan, Madiun, IPB is the most demanded campus for most of students. I and our relatives may proud to say to be admitted at IPB, the leading university. I was admitted at IPB and I took major on the Department of Silviculture Faculty of Forestry, which provided me opportunity to see Indonesia with a different perspective. Not only that, I was fortunate I was awarded “Bidik Misi” scholarshps while I studied at IPB, that mean I was able to study at IPB free. Thus, I utilized this golden opportunity to enrolled additional subjects through minor programs and other supporting courses, so successfully obtained  159 credits. IPB put me on the right track. Thanks IPB and Bidik Misi. I’ll make you and Indonesian Proud of".  (Wied)
