Commemorated the 532nd Anniversary of Bogor with Biopori
Hole Infiltration Technology of Biopori (LRB) which was one of the innovations of Bogor Agricultural University now more and more was known to the public. Simple technology to this environmental improvement became the important agenda for Mayor of Bogor, Dr. Bima Arya and staff. Yes, within the framework of the world environment day and the 532nd anniversary of Bogor, Government of Bogor City held the Launching of One Million of LRB in the Field of Kresna Bantar Jati Village Bogor City.
In his speech, Mayor of Bogor, Dr. Bima Arya, expressed the importance of protecting the environment by maintaining their respective communities. Now it was a good time to make LRB, because the innovation of IPB had been shown to reduce organic waste and absorb water into the ground. “Today we have started to make 20 LRB we target to finish one million LRB throughout Bogor City in December. The discoverer of Biopori is in Bogor and we will maximize his expertise.” explained Bima Arya. Bima added, the Government of Bogor City from now on would no longer indiscriminate authorizing the construction of buildings that could potentially damage the environment because the environment was the property of the youth of the nation and our grandchildren.
The launching of one million LRB followed by hundreds of people was assembled in the event of Simultaneous Act Proclamation of Eradication of Mosquito Nest in the Field of Kresna Bantar Jati, Bogor City, Thursday (5/5). It appeared to be present the researcher of Biopori, Ir. Kamir R. Brata, Head of Law Office of Promotion and Public Relations of IPB, Ir. Yatri Indah Kusumastuti M.Si, Head of Health Services West Java Province, Vice Mayor of Bogor, Regional Secretary and Sub-district and Village Heads, Cadre of Biopori, and Cadre of Interpreter of Mosquito Larva Monitoring also the surrounding communities.
