The Plantation Production Technology and Management (TMP) study programme of the Vocational School (SV) of IPB University has long collaborated with PT Minamas Gemilang, Sime Darby, through the Minamas Scholarship from 2010-2018. On 16/4 at the campus of the Vocational School of IPB University, the TMP study programme again extended the cooperation with PT Minamas Gemilang.

Also present were representatives of PT Minamas Gemilang, namely Zulham Ramadhan, Manager of HR-Learning & Development Minamas Plantation and Eka Gustanto, HR-Training Centre Minamas Manggala.

“Previously, the strengthening of cooperation with PT Minamas has been enhanced through the Building Estate Sustainability Transformational Program (BEST Program) which aims to produce oil palm plantation assistants who have knowledge, leadership competency and attitude in accordance with the cultural needs of PT Minamas,” said Ade Astri Muliasari, SP MSi, Chairperson of the TMP Study Programme.

“The BEST Programme is a scholarship development method for high school / vocational school graduates, families of employees, employees and communities around the plantation,” said Ade Astri.

She explained that collaboration with industrial partners is a bridge that connects the world of education with the real world of work. “Through this partnership, Prodi TMP ensures that the work-based curriculum that has been prepared is very relevant to the needs of the industry, so that graduates can immediately contribute and adapt quickly in the work environment,” she said.

“To achieve these competencies, learning is carried out in a dual system, namely learning at the IPB Bogor campus and at the Manggala Training Centre in Riau and the Sukamandang Training Centre in Central Kalimantan, with expert staff instructors who are in accordance with the competency fields and lecture materials,” said Ade Astri.
