IPB University Vocational School and BPDPKS Collaborate to Prepare Educational Scholarships Worth IDR 13.9 Billion

The IPB Vocational School (SV) in collaboration with the Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) carried out the activities of the Palm Oil Plantation Human Resources Development Program (SDM PKS) in 2023. The program was implemented through educational scholarships worth IDR 13.9 billion targeting smallholders or a family of 60 oil palm planters.

The collaboration was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement (PKS) between the two parties. Prof Iskandar Z Siregar, Vice Rector of  IPB University in the field of Global Connectivity, Collaboration and Alumni Relations signed a cooperation agreement accompanied by Dr Aceng Hidayat, Dean of SV IPB University and Ade Astri Muliasari, SP, MSi as chairman of the Plantation Production Technology and Management Study Program (TMP Study Program).

"This program is expected to prepare superior human resources for oil palm plantations that can improve their welfare. Apart from that, we hope that this collaboration will have an impact on a sustainable palm oil plantation industry by increasing Indonesia's production," said Ade Astri Muliasari at the signing of the collaboration in Jakarta, some time ago.

IPB University Vocational School TMP Study Program organizes an Applied Undergraduate education program (Diploma IV). The curriculum is formed based on occupation (level of position), according to the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and supports the Freedom of Learning –  Independence Campus program (MBKM). The TMP Study Program already has an assistant oil palm plantation scheme so that its graduates have the opportunity to take a competency certification exam (sertikom) that is recognized by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).
