IPB University Students and LAN Bogor City Hold Bara Festival Ramadan 1444H

A collaboration between the Anti-Drug Agency (LAN) of Bogor City, Student Executive Board – Student Family (BEM KM), Student Activity Unit (UKM), Student Islamic Spirituality Board (BKIM) IPB University held a Bara Festival Ramadan, 14/4.

Themed ‘Together Ramadan Spread Goodness’, the program was filled with various activities such as azan and colouring competitions for children, Anti-Drug Talk Show, religious art, tausiyah, orphan compensation and free takjil distribution.

“This is an activity for the common good, the establishment of cooperation with IPB University students and the Babakan Village community. Kindness is shared by providing useful knowledge, free takjil and compensation to approximately 50 orphans in Babakan Village. Insya Allah, this activity will continue every year,” said Syamsudin, Chairman of LAN Bogor City who is also the chief executive.

The Coordinating Minister for Community Service of BEM KM IPB University added that students should stay in touch and share kindness where they live. “Babakan is where we live, a place we pass every day. We are very happy to do activities that can add experience as well as benefit the surrounding community,” he said.

Bara Festival was also supported by the alumni of IPB University who made donations. The surrounding community also contributed to the organization of this activity. The performance of IPB University students and UKM MAX IPB also enlivened this activity.

IPB University lecturer, Dr. Hamzah as a resource person in his tausiyah advised, “We in this fasting month must have a lot of patience, along with the complex changes that occur in our respective lives.” (*/Rz) (IAAS/NVA))
