Twilite Orchestra Liven up the Closing of the 55th Anniversary of IPB
Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) presents the Twilite Orchestra in the Closing of the 55th Anniversary of IPB at the IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Bogor (12/10). In this event entitled Tribute to Innovators and Authors, IPB received a special gift which is new arrangeent of IPB Hymn, created Addie MS.
The IPB Hymn song created by Syafei Atmodiwiryo was delivered by the Student Choir (PSM) Agriaswara IPB accompanied by the Twilite Orchestra led by Addie MS with a new arrangement for the orchestra which was also specifically written by Addie MS.
"As one of the efforts for the reconstruction of the disaster in Palu, tonight we held a charity concert for Palu. IPB Golf Alumni Association managed to raise 450 million rupiahs in 15 minutes for scholarships, some of which will be used to help with the tuition fees of IPB students from Palu. In addition, tonight we launched the IPB Hymn with a new arrangement from Mas Addie (Addie MS). This is a special gift for IPB, "said the Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria in his speech.
In front of thousands of guests, Addie MS presented the master copy off of the IPB Hymn arrangement to Dr. Arif Satria. On this occasion, Addie MS briefly told the beginning of his friendship with the Rector of IPB.
"Eight years ago when I performed the Hajj, We were in the same rooms. On the sidelines of talks about worship, there was someone who turned out to have created dozens of songs. "Besides being a religious scholar, it turns out that it is smart to make songs, and his current profession is the Chancellor of IPB," Addie said as he recalled the beginning of hois introduction with Dr. Arif. The song "Forever" created by the Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria for his beloved wife was sung by Cindy (PSM Agriaswara) accompanied by the Twilite Orchestra.
In this concert, Twilite Orchestra performed Indonesia Raya, IPB Hymn, Bungong Jeumpa, Alusi Au, Bubuy Bulan, Janger, O Ina ni Keke, Walang Kekek, Manuk Dadali, Anging Mamiri, Umang Umang (Feat Rega Glen), Ayam Den Lapeh, Homeland, Build Pemudi Pemuda (feat Agria Swara), Pemuda (Feat Cindy and Agria Swara), Forever (Feat Cindy), Indonesia Jiwaku (feat Windy and Agria Swara), Indonesia Pusaka (Feat Agria Swara), Mars Pancasila ( Feat Agria Swara), Rayuan Pulau Kelapa (Feat Agria Swara), Berkibarlah Benderaku (Feat Agria Swara) and Satu Nusa Satu Bangsa (Feat Agria Swara).
"It's a pride for me, thank you IPB. In the yearof 1998 I began recording Indonesia Raya. Thank God, after that on the symphony negeri album, I recorded the song of perjuangan. Then I think what else can I enter. Finally I recorded 34 folk songs and in 2012, The Sound of Indonesia start to spread. Hopefully we can get to know the local songs again. Because I remember the song Rasa Sanyange was once taken by another country. Therefore we must maintain and care for our local songs, " said Addie MS. (Jhn)
