Bandrek Susu, His Band IPB Rector Performs at MPKMB Closure 2018
The Rector of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Dr Arif Satria officially closed the activities of the New Student Campus Recognition Period (MPKMB) of Class 55, at the Dramaga Campus of IPB, Bogor (18/8). Symbolic closure was marked by the unification of the Saga Agrisatya Book directly in front of 3,817 new students. This activity began with the formation of the five Saga which consisted of thirty Legions. Saga means the story of the triumph of agriculture from the five islands, Swarnadwipa (Sumatra), Jawadwipa (Java), Iron Island (Sulawesi), Irian Jaya and Borneo (Kalimantan), while the Legion means the landscape found on each island.
"You have started a new history well, the history made for IPB, Indonesia and the world. Your video formation has been the topic of discussion among chancellors throughout universities, and your friends at other universities. Progress begins with change, the new history is the beginning. Your task is to strengthen and give birth to the next IPB innovation, not only in Indonesia but in the world, "said the Rector of IPB in the presence of thousands of new students of IPB who had just broken the World Level 3D Formation record.
This year's MPKMB closure took place outdoors, which was attended by the Rector and his wife, the Vice Rectors, the Deans and Deputy Deans of each faculty.
On this occasion, the Chancellor and his staff, Bandrek Susu Band, presented several songs for new students of IPB. Bandrek Susu Band is the Rector's Band of Suka-Suka Songs.
Dr Arif Satria and other personnel presented five songs namely Rumah Kita, Gebyar-Gebyar, Kopi Dangdut, Terajana and Indonesia Pusaka. In the middle of the song, Neno Arif Satria gave interest to the husband who was none other than the rector of IPB.
Idham Fajar Giffari as Chairperson of the MPKMB 55 said that this year's MPKMB series has its own uniqueness and innovation. Usually the formation uses duplex, now we use 3D formations. After the MPKMB ends, there will be a force film narration, Time Traveler, which tells the story of the journey of IPB from its inception until now and in the future.
Saga Agrisatya, the term for new students of class 55 has a meaning that means the Story of Perfect Farming. We hope that generation 55 will be the beginning to carve out a new story. This year, MPKMB used the Time Traveler Concept or time travel, starting from the first day of the MPKMB, which we presented, namely how IPB was first established. MPKMB the second day can be seen by IPB today which is depicted from stage decoration. Then on the fifth day, the concept presented, IPB in the future, can be seen from the concept of outdoor activities and the presence of a laser stage, "Idham said.
