IPB Accepts 1,305 New Students Through SBMPTN

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) received 1,305 new undergraduate students through Joint Entrance Selection of State Universities (SBMPTN). This amount is the result of selection from 33,717 applicants IPB through SBMPTN. According to Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs IPB, Dr. Drajat Martianto, there were 16179 students who chose IPB as the first choice and 14365 students who chose IPB in second choice as well as 11493 students in the third choice.

The number of applicants placed IPB on the Top 10 universities with the highest number of applicants for SBMPTN in the field of Science and Technology.

"Congratulations to prospective new students of IPB through SBMPTN. Applicants who pass the selection are expected to immediately access www.admisi.ipb.ac.id page to confirm their acceptance and immediately complete the required documents. Confirmation or submission of this document will be accepted no later than July 13, 2018, "said Dr. Drajat

Further Dr. Drajat hopes that prospective students of IPB attach parents data correctly and honestly so that there will be no problem in determining the amount of Tuition Fee (UKT).

According to Dr. Drajat, the level of selection tightness in each study program for SBMPTN to IPB is very high, ranging from 1.05% to 9.21% with an average of 3.64%.

For SBMPTN, the most popular courses are Nutrition Science, Agribusiness, Computer Science, Management, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Agronomy and Horticulture, Communications and Community Development, Agroindustrial Technology, and Actuarial.

Applicants of IPB through SBMPTN are from Aceh to Papua.

Based on the data of prospective students of IPB through SBMPTN, most come from the provinces of West Java, DKI Jakarta, Central Java, and Banten.

Registration of new student candidates for academic year 2018/2019 from SBMPTN will be held on 7-8 August 2018 together with the new applicant of IPB from IPB Talent Test Entrance (UTM), Regional Entrepreneur Scholarship (BUD), International Achievement and National (PIN), Hafizh path, as well as the path of OSIS Chairman.

For the UTM path, the selection test will be held on July 14, 2018, Dr. Drajat advised that UTM participants check the test location one day before the test. The location of the examination was held in Bogor namely at Campus IPB Baranangsiang, Campus IPB Cilibende, Business School, and high school around Padjadjaran Street, Bogor.
