Students of IPB Went to 13 SMA in Rembang

A total of 30 members of the Family Association Rembang in Bogor (HKRB) conducted the road show of IPB to 13 SMA in Rembang to conduct the socialization related to IPB. “This activity aims to provide the debriefing for the students who want to continue their education. To help the students to determine their choices, it is necessary to hold the socialiation from the related universities. IPB is one of the universities that conducts the socialization or commonly called the road show of IPB,” said Agung Abdul Ra'up, the Chairman of HKRB. HKRB was one of the Regional Student Organization (Omda) under the guidance of IPB.

The arrival of HKRB was not only providing the material about IPB, but also trying to motivate the students to have an interest in continuing their education to a higher level. Many students were responding positively to the arrival of HKRB in their schools. They were very helpful with the information provided. Some students were even dare to claim that they wanted to go to IPB, because IPB was the university that was in line with their expectations. They also greatly appreciated the way of delivery at a very clear and interesting socialization. There were very enthusiastic to ask questions related to IPB. Some of the questions were about the opportunity to enter to the study program in IPB, the scholarship in IPB, the entrance to IPB, the description about the life in the campus of IPB, the living cost in Bogor, and many others.

In addition to the students, the teachers also appreciated the efforts of the students of IPB to motivate their students to continue their education after graduating from SMA. The response of course made HKRB to be very happy, because their efforts were  not in vain. There were some interesting things during the socialization, one of which was when there were the students who asked the odd questions at the time of socialization took place. The most laughable was when someone asked the opportunity to get a mate in IPB. But the question was just a joke from  the students to make the atmosphere more fun. Other than that, after the socialization, the students usually invited HKRB to take pictures together as well as HKRB to invite the students to shout the jargon of IPB. (***/ris)
