Deputy of the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Bayu Krisnamurthi, promised to reward "Welcome Gifts" for top 10 (ten) prospective new students who will successfully write an article on "Why I’m interested to be Student of Bogor Agricultural University". For the  10 (ten) successful winners of the Dr. Krisnamurthi’ writing contest, he will personally provide funding support for their first year tuiton fees (SPP) at the University.  Automatically, the 2514 (two thousand five hundred fourteen) prospective students who are admitted through  SNMPTN Invitations system that present in the Grha Widya Wisuda (GWW) give their  applouse for him. Those students were at the Grha Widya Wisuda to attend  the General Lectures for  the 2011 incoming new students,  on Wednesday, 1 June 2011.

In delivering his lecture in the ‘slang’, the Deputy  explained five things that must be followed by those students as long as they will be in the University.  First, they should always be having  positive thinking and enjoy as well as welcome the lecture. Second, they should be friendly and make friendships as much as possible. They should not  build a wall, instead they should build a bridge as the difference is the beautiful and blessing in disguiss.

Third, they should be having logical thinking. Develop the ability to think logically, and  always develop the ‘Why’ question. Fourth, they should be having the spirit to meet the  new things. And the fifth, they should be having  the right and good communication skills.

On this occasion, the Deputy  mentioned a number of alumni of the University who are successful in the community, such as in the  government, banking industries, mass media, and  private companies. "The essence is that the University is really productive. Therefore, when someone  ask you why do you select Bogor Agricultural University as for your tertiary  education, the answer should be that the University is the best, "stated the Deputy who is currently faculty member of the University. Prior to the Deputy presentation,  the Rector of the University expressed his  sincere welcome to the prospective students who are admitted to the University by  SNMPTN the invitation system. "You  are selected  young generations. You have to be thankfull to God for the best  opportunity given as you are admitted to the state university, one of the leading agricultural universities in  Southeast Asia, "said Rector.

The Vice Rector of Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Yonny Koesmaryono, Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Rimbawan, Deputy Director of the Joint Preparation (TPB),  Dr. Eko Sriwiyono, and Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the  Secretariat of the Executive Secretary, Ir. Henny Windarti, M.Sc were among the guests of the event.

The MCs for this special event were two homorous students, Adit and Haikal, then it was followed by public lecture of the 2nd session with the theme "Wirausaha Muda Kampus Pertanian Unggulan (Campus Youth Entrepreneurial Agricultural Commodity)". Gigin Mardiansyah and Ance Trio Marta,  are entrepreneur in doll business  and bawal fisheries (Collossoma macropomum)  were invited for the 2nd session. (Wied).
