Annisa Hasanah
Alumnae of Landscape Architecture Study Program
Owner of ECOFUNOPOLY®

Annisa Hasanah, is a young alumnus of IPB University from the Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Agriculture. Annisa currently has a social business in the field of environmental education by making board game products called ECOFUNOPOLY®. This game has been marketed in various environmental themes, has been translated into five languages ??(Indonesia, English, German, Tagalog, and Burma), and has won various national and international awards including: 1st Prize Winner Indonesia Sociopreneur Challenge, Winner of YSEALI Future Seeds Grant, Kreativitaet im Studium Jerman, and 1st Prize Winner of the United Nation Youth Volunteer Innovation Challenge in Thailand. At the end of 2018, Annisa Hasanah was one of the fellows elected to join the fully funded program, the Professional Exchange Program in the United States. Annisa who is a social entrepreneur, game maker and book writer were chosen as YSEALI Fellow to learn the ins and outs of social business in the United States, the 32nd country that Annisa has visited.

 

Alfi Irfan

Founder Agrisocio

Alfi Irfan is the founder of Agrisocio. Since was established in 2014, this social company is engaged in agriculture that focuses on sustainable agriculture, empowering rural households and promote better living standards of farmers. The 26-year-old Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Agrisocio is an alumnus of the Department of Resource and Environmental Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) of IPB University. In his work as an entrepreneur, Alfi initiated the Indorempah functional drink. Indorempah is a spice drink that has been tested at the South East Asian Food and Agricultural Science and Technology Center (SEAFAST) or the Center for Development of Food Science and Technology and Southeast Asia Agricultural Technology, Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) IPB University. Indorempah is made without preservatives and without chemicals addition. The composition of Indorempah consists of red ginger, cumin, clove, Javanese chili, black pepper, palm sugar, cane sugar, cinnamon and anise. In addition to benefiting from Alfi's business, Indorempah also provides sustainable social impacts. This is because in its processing, production and packaging process, Indorempah empowered the wives of farmers in the village around the campus of IPB University, namely Benteng Village, in Ciampea District, Bogor Regency.

Haidhar Wurjanto

Founder of SIMHA Group (Momomilk, Foresthree, Cakekinian, Mozza Bistro)

Haidhar Wurjanto is an alumnus of the Management Department of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM). Together with Nur Nabilah, Haidhar pioneered a business in the field of livestock agribusiness which they named as MOMO MILK. The first MOMO MILK business was opened on January 1, 2011. Currently there are 3 MOMO MILK cafes all located in Bogor. MOMO MILK can be a stylish cafe for young people. Besides serving pure milk products, yogurt is also available. The names of the leading drinks are Reo Milkshake, Caramel Milkshake, Durian Milkshake, and others. The flavors are also very innovative such as caramel, wine, melon, oreo, and many more. There is a special attraction that distinguishes MOMO MILK from other milk cafes, namely the glass used to accommodate milk is very cute and unique. These funny and unique properties make Haidar one of the ways for promotion. MOMO MILK has a turnover of up to tens of millions per month. For Bogor Junction, the turnover is an average of Rp 50 million per month, while in Sapta Canteen, IPB Campus, the turnover is around Rp 20 million per month. Prior to having Simha Group which included Momomilk, Foresthree and Mozza, Haidhar had to learn to fail from the various businesses he lived in. He studied entrepreneurship since college. He has various types of businesses such as selling pulses, Japanese food, cell phone casings, and fried rice, until finally he continues to be consistent in the culinary world.

Rizal Fahreza

Founder Agrowisata Jeruk Garut

Rizal Fahreza has successfully developed agritourism business in form of orange plantation in Cikajang, Garut, West Java. The business has been developing since 2014 and was name as Eptilu. Eptilu is an acronym in Sundanese language which means “three F’s: Fresh From Farm”. Eptilu Agritourism offers orang picking from farm and traditional culinary experience such as Nasi Liwet Kentang amidst of serene orange plantation of Garut. Eptilu orange plantation has area of 1.2 hectare among Kupajajar hamlet, Mekarsari Village. Daily visitor of EPtilu agritourism reach 400 visitors. The visit might peak during weekend. In total, there are estimated 1700 to 2400 visitors per month. Rizal successful in developing the orange agritourism business drives him to be the Indonesian Ambassador for ASEAN in the First ASEAN Youth Social Entrepreneur Award 2017. Until year of 2018, Rizal is the Ambassador of ASEAN for Indonesia. Even more, Reza is crowned to be the national winner of Wirausaha Muda Pemula Berprestasi 2016, a prestigious award-winning youth business competition by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of The Republic of Indonesia. Eptilu agritourism had the chance to be visited by the Minister of Youth and Sport of Indonesia, Mr. Imam Nahrowi. The site also gets remarkable honor to be visited by Hollywood action movie star, Iko Uwais, whereas he visited not only to have leisure time but also to take several scene for his upcoming movie with some Frenchman.

Owner of Ternak Mitra Tani Farm

Budi Susilo Setiawan is the owner of poultry business under the flagship of Mitra Tani Farm (MT Farm). Budi with his fellow partner Amrul Lubis, M Afnan W dan Bahrudin, established a sheep and goat fattening business in September 2004. Since was established, MT Farm do sheep, goats and cattle breeding. MT Farm also strives for natural feed in the form of grass and concentrate. The management of this business absorbs local residents as employees. MT Farm is in Tegalwaru Village, Ciampea District, Bogor Regency. The processing of livestock in MT Farm has begun to be carried out in an integrated manner, namely by using the benefit system, all that is available to sheep or goats such as meat, skin, head bones to feces can be utilized without being discarded. Not only that, MT Farm also manages waste from animal waste. The manure is converted into biogas and fertilizer for grass. The results of biogas are useful for lighting fires and generators in livestock breeding areas. While other wastes can be directly used for fertilizer grass. This waste management is very helpful for livestock and the people in the surrounding area, because they already know the benefits, among others, they can use free gas. So, the results can be enjoyed more by surrounding residents. With the integrated farming system implemented by MT Farm, farmers and surrounding communities can enjoy greater benefits.

Aang Permana

Owner Crispy Ikan Petek

Aang Permana boosts the business of glass fish. With initial capital of hundreds of thousands of rupiah, this man now has a turnover of up to half a billion rupiah. This man born in 1990 glanced at glass fish because the potential of this fish is quite large and has not been optimized by the community. In fact, the surrounding community is reluctant to consume fish called in the Latin as Prambassis Ranga. Aang started the glass fish business in 2014. His initial capital was Rp. 500 thousand and he used it to buy glass fish and simple cooking utensils. Although he did not have a mature business plan, he immediately chose to experiment immediately. Apparently, the glass fish business named Crispy Ikan Sipetek received a pretty good response. Aang decided to quit his job at an oil company. Crispy Ikan Petek is sold for IDR 15 thousand per pack. Aang itself produces around 1,000-1,500 packs per day. His hard work is fruitful at last. Now, Aang can pocketed a turnover of IDR 400-500 million per month. This product has been sold abroad as well as Malaysia and Hong Kong. Aang also employs non-productive aged mothers to help produce Crispy Ikan Sipetek. This is so that they can help with family income. To ensure the availability of glass fish, which is the raw material for its products, Aang partnered with a number of fishermen who are on Lake Cilatah in Cianjur, West Java. In addition to developing the crispy fish business, the man who had studied in the United States for 3 months also developed a freshwater fish farming business. These cultivated fish are supplied to several restaurants in Cianjur and Bandung. Aang Permana has now enjoyed his success.

Owner of PT. Moena Putra Nusantara

With the aim of cultivating fruits, Donny opened a fruit shop which was named UD Moena Fresh.  After success with the fruit shop, Donny formed PT Moena Putra Nusantara (MPN), which is a company supplier.  With the initial steps to buy a few kiosks at the Central Market in Jakarta and the Caringin Central Market Bandung.  His business entered the local fruit export market.

Now, Donny has a turnover of 4 billion per month from 12 outlets of "Moena Fresh" by employing 250 employees.  In addition to the fruit shop business, he also has a fruit supplier business with the business name PT MPN with a turnover of around Rp. 750 million per month and a total of 70 employees.  “My dream is not just here, I also target to add one store each year.  Hopefully my obsession to open outlets in Australia can be realized soon," said the man who has this simple appearance with a typical towel that surrounds his neck

Gregori Garnadi Hambali

Father of Aglaonema Indonesia

The discoverer of Aglaonema “The Pride of Sumatera”, a new variety of aglaonema plant born in 1987 and an award winner in a competition in Netherland. Aside from that, Greg Hambali also found 31 varieties of aglaonema that has been registered to Center of Plant Variety Protection, Ministry of Agriculture of Indonesia. Even one of The Big Five auctioned for IDR 660 million. For his progress, he was awarded Anugerah Kekayaan Intelektual Luarbiasa (AKIL) in Plant Variety section.
