IPB Mengajar and P2SDM IPB University Release the Departure of 12 Inspirational Teachers to Cianjur, Edelweis XII Officially Starts

IPB Mengajar and the Center for Human Resources Research (P2SDM) IPB University released the departure of 12 inspirational teachers in the Education Weeks in School XII (Edelweis XII) activity at Dramaga Campus, Friday (14/7). These inspirational teachers are IPB University students who were selected to devote themselves to improving quality education in Galudra Village, Cianjur, West Java.

IPB Mengajar again involved teachers in Edelweis activities for 21 days in Cianjur. Edelweis XII is the first activity after becoming a Student Activity Unit (UKM) in the field of service. IPB Mengajar collaborates with P2SDM which also holds a Village Campus program. The teachers will do the service at Mahfudzul Hayatiyah Private Elementary School (SDS), Cianjur which starts right at the beginning of the new school year 2023/2024.

"The Education Weeks in School activity can be a forum for realizing change at SDS Mahfudzul Hayatiyah. I hope that these twelve inspirational teachers can inspire the students they teach," said Tiara Putri Rahmadhin, Chief Executive of Edelweis XII as well as President of IPB Mengajar.

With this Edelweis activity, Tiara hopes that this program will be able to provide change and solve the problems that exist in the elementary school and provide motivation and enthusiasm for students.

Femmy, one of the inspirational teachers of Edelweis XII said, her motivation to participate in this activity was to want to practice knowledge while inspiring the children there that learning, which is one of the keys to knowing everything, is a fun process.

"Hopefully this activity can have a positive impact on the lives of students and the surrounding community, and become role models for those who can motivate and inspire students to achieve their best competencies," hoped Femmy.

Edelweis XII will present more than nine programs for students, teachers, and parents. Teaching programs include Kelas Inspirasi, Farm on School, Parent and Teacher Forum, Children's Festival, and several other programs. In addition, some programs will collaborate with the Village Campus activities carried out by P2SDM IPB University.
