DKSRA Pushes for Increased Accreditation Status of IPB University Journals

The Directorate of Strategic Studies and Academic Reputation (DKSRA) at IPB University is once again providing support for four scientific journals. These journals are currently approaching the end of their accreditation period. Following previous support to address areas for improvement and maximize preparation, the current agenda is to conduct a final evaluation and submit to the Arjuna portal for Science and Technology Index (Sinta) reaccreditation.
The Director of KSRA IPB University, Prof Anuraga Jayanegara emphasized that scientific journals have two strategic aspects for the university. Firstly, they reflect the institution's reputation in various fields of science. Secondly, a university's publications are greatly influenced by the journals indexed in Scopus that are managed by the institution.
"Therefore, we always strive to improve the quality and accreditation status of these journals according to their respective stages. For the journals currently being assisted, our hope is that those previously accredited as Sinta 3 or 4 can be upgraded to Sinta 2," explained Prof Anuraga in the opening event at the DKSRA Office Meeting Room, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor.
During this occasion, assistance is provided for the Agricultural Engineering Journal concerning technical matters before applying for reaccreditation. This journal was previously accredited as Sinta 2. Meanwhile, the other three journals will be submitted to the Arjuna portal, these journals are the Journal of Indonesian Agribusiness, the Jurnal Jamu Indonesia (Journal of Indonesian Traditional Medicine), and the Business Review and Case Studies. The resource person for the event, Dr Iman Rusmana, conducted the final evaluation before the journals submitted their work to the Arjuna portal.
"DKSRA at IPB University continually monitors the journal reaccreditation process until they obtain their new accreditation status. Our hope is that, after receiving input and improvements from the resource person, the obtained accreditation rankings will be higher than before, preferably at least Sinta 2," Prof Anuraga emphasized.
