IPB University is the Location of BUMN Goes to Campus, Encompass the Young Leaders

IPB University collaborated with State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to hold BUMN Goes to Campus activities which were held at Graha Widya Wisuda (GWW) Campus, IPB Dramaga, (30/3). Through this activity, the Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir invited the younger generation to be part of the regeneration of BUMN. Carrying the theme 'Reach Your Dream', the activity aims to recruit millennials to become young leaders of BUMN.
On this occasion, Dr Ujang Suwarna as Director of Student Affairs at IPB University expressed his highest appreciation to BUMN, especially those that have allowed IPB University to become the organizer this year.
"For information, IPB University has an activity called critical thinking theory which has been going on for the last three years. From this activity, it was revealed that more than 40 percent of IPB University students were interested in pursuing a career as a professional," he said.
He hopes that this event can continue to take place regularly because it is very useful for students. "Hopefully the IPB University students who participate in this activity can color their achievements in BUMN in the future," he said.
Special Staff III to the Minister of BUMN, Arya Sinulingga also attended BUMN Goes to Campus. He had the opportunity to visit the IPB Dramaga campus as well as meet more than 2,000 IPB University students.
"The younger generation must have good soft skills for the progress of the nation. Today's young generation must be able to manage time well, have character, and be able to communicate well. These three things will determine your success in the future, “he said.
BUMN Goes to Campus was also enlivened by a talk show. One of the speakers who attended was Nina Kurniadewi the administrator of the Indonesian Human Capital Forum.
"We provide an opportunity for students to be able to contribute to BUMN, namely through the Talented Internship program," said the Director of Finance, HRM and Risk Management of Perum, the National News Agency, ANTARA.
In addition, Yudi Ariesta Chandra (Chairman of the Indonesian Student Union / PPI) Japan for the 2020–2021 period. At that moment, he shared his experiences studying in Japan and shared tips and tricks for getting scholarships abroad with the students who attended.
As a complement to the event, there were 10 educational booths from 10 State-Owned Enterprises namely Mandiri, Hutama Karya, Perhutani, Bio Farma, PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) III, PT Brantas Abipraya, PT RNI, Perum Jasa Tirta (PJT) II, PT Antam and POS Indonesia.
