This year there is something different from the process of registering and verifying the file of new students of IPB University. This is the first year of IPB University implementing a new online-based student registration and verification system. Registering online is certainly much more efficient in terms of time and management. If there are problems it will be more easily detected.

IPB University Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Dr Drajat Martianto said "This year IPB University new students who registered a total of 3,782 people with details of 1661 from the National Selection Entrance to State Universities (SNMPTN), 1507 from the Joint Selection Entrance to Higher Education Entrance Affairs (SBMPTN). While for the Mandiri track there are 132 OSIS Chairpersons, 7 International and National Achievements (PINs), 110 Regional Envoy Scholarships (BUD), 305 Computer-Based Independent Writing Exams (UTM-BK), 25 Higher Education Affirmations and 35 International Classes. "

Regarding this online system, Director of Information and Digital Transformation System (DSITD) of IPB University, Ir Julio Adisantoso, MKom said that the registration was previously manual, using paper documents, from one table to another. Now according to the Rector's direction, all by digital.

Re-registration is done online before students come to IPB University. Students fill their identities and upload report cards every semester and other important documents to the system. When students come (for verification), they have brought the QR code they got from the online registration that had been done before. After that, the committee will scan. Information will automatically be obtained whether students can continue to the next stage or not.

There are four indicators namely green, brown, yellow, and red that determine whether students can proceed to the next stage. Green line means no problems, meaning that the verification process is successful and students can immediately receive Student Identity Cards (KTM) and alma mater suits. While the brown line indicates that there are documents that prospective students have not uploaded or there is a discrepancy of documents uploaded at registration. While the yellow and red indicators indicate there are things that have not been resolved or are problematic, so students need to do further verification.

With this online system, the verification process can be completed quickly. It only takes nine to ten minutes for students to complete the verification process. The verification process coordinated by the Directorate of Education Administration and New Student Admissions (Dit APPMB) IPB University was carried out for four days, 30 and 31 July for the SNMPTN and SBMPTN Pathways, and 1 and 2 August for the Independent Pathway.
