Labor contributes as a support of the country's economy. In addition to economic drivers, labor is also a major actor in the development of civilization. But that does not mean this important role has no problems. The problem that often occurs in labor is the difficulty of accessing information on employment.

The problem then pushed Kodarusman, a student of the Department of Animal Production and Technology (IPTP), Faculty of Animal Husbandry, IPB University to initiate an application that he named MyWorker. The MyWorker application is an application based on digital technology to support the improvement of the welfare of the Indonesian workforce.

"The application that I designed is used as one of the digital media to protect, monitor and improve the welfare of the workforce through the control of the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) RI. MyWorker will connect the workforce with the Ministry of Manpower so that information resources available from the government can be distributed quickly and evenly to the workforce, "explained Kodarusman.

He explained that the MyWorker application can be a medium for employment information intelligence for workers and the workforce who have not found work. Examples of available employment information are City / District Minimum Wages (UMK), Provincial Minimum Wages (UMP), company profiles, track record of termination of employment of a company, workforce qualifications required by a company and other information required related to employment.

Through his ideas, Kodarusman won 2nd place in the National Essay Contest organized by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Engineering, Bandung Islamic University, last July. "I am very happy to be able to meet people who have innovations for Indonesia, especially in the field of employment. I am also very impressed with the other participants because the ideas of the other participants are good and worth implementing, "Kodarusman said.

Kodarusman hopes that the application he designed can provide a sense of security, comfort, good and right for Indonesian workers. He also hopes that the ideas he has come to get the attention of related parties such as the campus, the government and others so that they can be realized and benefit the wider community. (AVR)
