Kampung Insan Prima Berdikari (IPB) has disseminated the Young Agriculture Entrepreneurship and Development Program (PMPKMP) at the Office of the Institute of Nature Tropics Indonesia (Latin) on Saturday (12/2). This is a program for mainstreaming agricultural entrepreneurship for fresh graduates. “This is a community-based entrepreneurship training program whose output is expected to become a qualified young man as a pioneer of agricultural independence and sovereignty,” Dr. Ir. Biakman Irbansyah, MBA as speaker and alumni of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) batch 20.

The value of the Sustainable Agriculture Integrated Farming (SAIF) is also mandated in this program which is a combination of two segments: Entrepreneurship Internship Program which puts forward the value of Sustainable Agriculture with training to get hands-on experience and Entrepreneurship Development Program that promotes Integrated Farming with business modeling design knowledge in agricultural segmentation. Dr.Biakman also claimed that he did not set the grade point average (GPA) and high capital as a standard for graduating his apprenticeship program for students. “Fighting power and being ready to fail are the most important. As long as you have the intention, willpower, and determination,” he said firmly.

This Entrepreneurship Development Program emphasizes apprentices who are grouped into small groups of three people to make business modeling in terms of on-farm to off-farm within 15 weeks. The three people will also be accompanied by selected mentors and coaches who are members of the Mentor-Coach Community. “Participants just need to develop business ideas that will also be developed by our mentors and coaches. We also provide networking assistance to accelerate the business,” said Dr. Biakman. Dr. Biakman reiterated that capital is not an obstacle in building agricultural entrepreneurship. “We do not provide minimum standards on capital costs collected by participants in this program. We can loan the rest first and can be returned when the business has made a profit.”

Kampung Insan Prima Berdikari (IPB) itself is a holding company founded by 13 IPB alumni of batch 20 including Dr. Biakman who has succeeded in pioneering companies and foundations. This organization is a tangible manifestation of IPB alumni in implementing the Sustainable Agriculture System ecological model and the practice of Integrated Farming based from the village. Various businesses run under the banner of Kampung IPB including moving in the field of sustainable agricultural system development with the practice of integrated farming The holding company has also established official cooperation with IPB and the Alumni Association (HA) of IPB.
