The existence of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) in creating innovative works has made this campus the most innovative campus in Indonesia. In his speech at the closing ceremony of the 55th IPB Anniversary, the Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria, expressed gratitude to young and senior authors, IPB can maintain its position in the top five Scopus indexed colleges. To appreciate the achievements of its academics, IPB held 2018 Tribute to Innovators and Authors on the evening of the closing of the 55th Anniversary of IPB at the IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Bogor on October 12.

The most innovative researcher award were given to Prof. Dr. Ir. Ani Suryani, DEA from the Department of Agroindustral Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (Fateta), which created 19 innovations in the span of 2008-2018. Prof. Dr. Ir. Erliza, M.Sc from the Department of Agroindustral Technology, Fateta became a lecturer with the highest number of patents, namely 12 patents in the span of 2008-2017.

Granted Patent category in 2018 is given to 12 lecturers. Three Lecturers from the Department of Agroindustral Technology, Fateta, namely Prof. Khaswar Syamsu, Dr. Endang Warsiki, S.TP, M.Sc., and Prof. Erliza Noor. Dr. Ir. Neviaty Putri Zamani, M.Sc from the Department of Marine Science and Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), Siti Sa`diah, S.Si, M.Sc from the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Pharmacology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH), Prof. Clara Meliyanti Kusharto from the Department of Community Nutrition Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema), Prof. Dr. Ir. Maggy Thenawidjaja Suhartono from the Department of Food Science and Technology Fateta, Prof. Dr. drh. Retno Damayanti Soejoedono, MS from the Department of Animal Disease and Veterinary Public Health FKH, Prof. Dr. Ir. Cecep Kusmana, M.Sc from the Department of Silviculture, Faculty of Forestry. Then two lecturers from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), namely Dr. Ir. Iman Rusmana, M.Si and Dr. Ir. Yulin Lestari. Finally, Prof. Dr. Dra. Dyah Iswantini Pradono, M.sc.Agr from the Department of Chemistry, FMIPA.

The other category is The Most Productive Faculty in 2018 given to Fateta with a total of 180 articles published and FPIK with 177 published articles. FMIPA and Fateta became faculties in the category of The Most Cited Faculty in 2018 with the number of citations 1931 and 1030 respectively.

Three teaching staff won the Most Productive Senior Lecturer in 2018 category, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Yusli Wardiatno from the Department of Water Resources Management of FPIK with the number of articles published as many as 11 articles and 8 H-indexes. Prof. Dr. Ir. Lilik Budi Prasetyo, M.Sc from the Department of Forest Resources Conservation and Ecotourism, Faculty of Forestry with 10 published articles and 4 H-indexes. Next Prof. Dr. Ir. Y Aris Purwanto, M.Sc from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Biosystems, Fateta with 10 published articles and 4 H-indexes.

Dr. Yudi Setiawan S.P, M.Sc from the Department of Forest Resources Conservation and Ecotourism, Faculty of Forestry won the category of The Most Productive Young Lecturer in 2018 with the number of published articles as many as 3 articles and 6 H-indexes. Furthermore, Dr. Rahmat Hidayat, S.Si, M.Si from the Department of Geophysics and Meterology FMIPA also won The Most Productive Young Lecturer in 2018 with 8 articles and 2 H-indexes and Dr. Hawis H. Madduppa, S.Pi, M.Si from the Department of Science and Marine Technology of FPIK with 7 articles and 8 H-indexes.

The Most Cited Senior Author in 2018 won by Prof. Dr. Ir. Murdiyarso M.S. from the Department of Geophysics and Meteorology FMIPA with 574 citations and 30 H-indexes. Prof. Dr. Ir. Yusuf Sudo Hadi M.Agr from the Department of Forest Products, Faculty of Forestry with 74 citations and 9 H-indexes and Dr. drh. Muhammad Agil, M.Sc.Agr from FKH Reproductive and Pathology Clinic Department with 70 citations and 10 H-indexes.

The Most Cited Young Author 2018 was awarded to three lecturers, namely Dr. Anuraga Jayanegara S.Pt, M.Sc  from the Department of Nutrition and Feed Technology, Faculty of Animal Science with 87 citations and 12 H-indexes. Then Dr. Julie Ekasari S.Pi, M.Sc from the Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences with 74 citations and 8 H-indexes and Dr. Imanida Batubara S.Si, M.Si from the Department of Chemistry, FMIPA with a number of cations of 60 and 8 H-indexes.

Categories based on the number of H-indexes were given to two lecturers namely Dr. Anuraga Jayanegara S.Pt, M.Sc from the Department of Nutrition and Feed Technology of Faculty of Animal Science as the H-index 2018 of Young Lecturer with 12 H-indexes. Whereas for the Lifetime Achievement H-index is given to Prof. Dr. Ir. Daniel Murdiyarso M.S. from the Department of Geophysics and Meteorology FMIPA as many as 30 H-indexes.

The awarding of trophies and award pledges was handed over directly by the Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria. The given trophy is in the form of a coffee mill symbolized as a developing, innovative, and contemporary form of business.

In addition, IPB will also give an appreciation to the IPB researchers who have succeeded in translating Q1 certified international publication "IPB will provide an incentive of 20 million rupiah for those who submit the Q1 certified international publication," said the Rector. (FM)
