11 Consecutive Years of IPB Domination on Indonesian Prospective Innovations

Recalling back since 2008, the number of innovations from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) has been dominating among other universities in Indonesia. Selection outcome in form of “110 Indonesian Innovations 2018” undertaken by the Center for Business Innovation (BIC) and Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Republic of Indonesia, innovations originated from IPB academia’s works summed up to 39 innovations. Out of total 397 proposals submitted during review stage, 224 proposals passed the completion process and 223 proposals entered the judging stage. Since 2008, IPB has managed the innovation work database in order to ease the development  means. Every year IPB plans to set 100 innovative reports at the very least resulted from both lecturers/researchers and students’ research. The number of IPB innovations in the Indonesian Innovation Book by BIC significantly climbed from total innovations released from merely 454 in 2008 to 1,155 innovations in 2018, collectively. The achievements are undoubtedly inseparable from the role of various researchers/innovators/inventors parties who have conducted such plenty innovative works and as well the related units who have been supporting the creation of a culture of innovation within IPB.
