The festive IPB Edu Expo 2018
The Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) again held the IPB Edu Expo 2018 in the framework of the 55th Anniversary of IPB. The activity was attended by around 1,200 students from around 90 high schools (SMA) in Jabodetabek on Tuesday (9/25) at Dramaga's IPB Campus.
The event was opened with a speech from Dr. Ir. Aceng Hidayat, MT, Secretary of the Institute. "IPB is increasingly becoming the campus of choice, which is marked by an increase in registrants this year," he said. In addition, IPB also succeeded in being ranked 3rd on the best campus sequence in Indonesia. Dr. Aceng hopes that in the coming year IPB will be able to increase its ranking through system tidying and publication. This received a rousing welcome from the participants.
The activity which is the core of the event is interactive question and answer students with the Institute Ambassador students from each faculty and school. The dialogue lasted for almost an hour with high enthusiasm from the questioners namely the participating students. After that the participants were presented with a row of faculties and schools to ask deeper questions about IPB.
The series of events were also filled with traditional dance performances by students, choir performances from Agriaswara Student Activity Unit (UKM), and music performances from UKM MAX !!. In addition, what the students and teachers are waiting for is the Campus Tour prepared by the committee in a mode of transporting four campus buses.
Students of PB Soedirman High School Bekasi, Dani, together with their teachers and friends, assessed the event as exciting. He was indeed looking for IPB campus information and the event was very helpful in giving information. "At the Expo I was able to ask directly about the department," he said.
Meanwhile Anisa said that they had been preparing since morning with the teacher and 28 friends to go to the IPB Edu Expo 2018 event in Bogor. The high school 1 student in Bekasi City hopes to study at the IPB Actuarial Study Program and get more information from the event held. The event was also attended by the Head of Communication Bureau of IPB, Ir. Yatri Indah Kusumastuti, M.Sc, Head of Promotion Section of the Communication Bureau of IPB, Dr. M Fahrudin and representatives of faculties / schools and the department of IPB. (NR)
