IPB Offers Two Free Tickets for Participants TO Become Students Without Test

Bogor Agricultural University became one of the National Training Centers (Pelatnas) Phase 1 for the Team of Indonesian Olympiad in Informatics (TOKI) 2019. This Pelatnas Phase 1 of TOKI 2019 the first Phase of TOKI National Training in frame of preparation for International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2019 in Azerbaijan. There were 35 participants arrived at IPB and were accepted by Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs of IPB, Dr. Ir. Drajat Martianto at IPB Dramaga Campus, Tuesday (9/18). On this occasion, Dr. Drajat Martianto explained a glance of information regarding the student admission path of IPB through the admission path of National International Achievement (PIN). Dr. Drajat has offered IPB quota for two participants who were selected into the top 16. "We are offering two quotas for two students who made it to the top 16, be accepted in IPB without a test through PIN program. Those present here are the best students who have talent in programming. I hope that this competition will be successful entrepreneurs. It is important that this ability is balanced with soft skills. "

Director of Information System and Digital Transformation IPB, Ir. Julio Adi Santoso, M.Kom. said congratulation to the participant who during a month will attend the selection of the next National training’ participants. “The activity of this National training Phase 1 TOKI 2019 is a part of National training TOKI in selecting four best students who will represent Indonesia in 31st International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), which is the world’s Olympiad in programming that will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

National training participants consisted of 35 best students of selection result from SMP/SMA throughout Indonesia, starting from the district / city, province, to national level. TOKI National Training is the activity of Ministry of Education and Culture RI, Directorate for Development of Senior Secondary School, which is conducted at coach universities of Indonesian Olympiad in Informatics, those are IPB, Bandung Institut of Technology (ITB), University of Indonesia (UI), Gadjah Mada University (UGM, and Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS), explained Julia.

IPB for several times, since 2013 has been involved in the training of TOKI students through National Training Phase 1, 2, and 3. This time, National training Phase 1 of TOKI was held at Directorate of Information System and Digital Transformation from September 16th to October 15th, 2018. The tutors in the National training are lecturers and alumnus of TOKI coach universities and alumnus of TOKI from various universities in Indonesia.

Purwadi Sutanto, Director for Development of Senior Secondary School, Ministry of Education and Culture RI said’ “Congratulations for you who have won the OSN from the 35 best invited from 10th – 11th class. Thank you to Rector of IPB and the staff for their participation in coaching of SMA students who are joining in TOKI.
