In Front of Thousands of New Students, the Minister of Agriculture Conveyed 80 Percent of Indonesian Agricultural Innovation from IPB
A total of 3,817 new Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) students attended the New Student Campus Introductory Period (MPKMB) class 55. The opening ceremony was held at Graha Widya Wisuda (GWW) IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor, West Java (14/8).
Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir. H. Andi Amran Sulaiman, MP was present at the opening of the MPKMB and delivered special material on Indonesian agriculture.
Dr. Andi Amran raised the theme "Development of Agricultural Student Character to Realize Agriculture 4.0". "In the past I was born in a poor condition, then started pioneering a business with a capital of 500 thousand rupiah and growing to 3 trillion rupiah in a few years. The key to success is work, work, work, and also must be sure, sincere, istiqamah, God willing, it will work, "he explained.
According to him, currently Indonesian conglomerates number 1-10, 80 percent are from the agricultural sector. "So my children are proud when you are at IPB. In fact, 80 percent of new agricultural innovations from IPB. The benefits that farmers get are with technology, and the technology must be printed from this IPB, "he added.
The Minister of Agriculture is optimistic that the future of Indonesian agriculture can be led by IPB students. "Give me 4000 IPB students, I will make Indonesia as a the most powerful food storage and I make Indonesia as a super power country. Fight smart, so that the welfare of farmers can increase. Insha Allah, in 2045 we will become the world's food barn," he said.
Meanwhile, the Chancellor of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria said that only people who make history can make their country and nation developed. They are people who make new innovations and new works. "In an effort to create a new history, IPB has just won Anugerah Widyapadhi's achievements from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti). "The progress of the nation is not determined by its natural resources but the ability to manage it, so we should be grateful," he explained.
The 55th MPKMB IPB activity has the class name "Saga Agrisatya". Chairman of MPKMB class 55, Idham F Giffari said that Saga Agrisatya has the meaning of a perfect agricultural story. Which means the hope that the new generation of IPB 55 will carve out the best story for the IPB almamater and Agriculture Indonesia.
"Our hope for MPKMB IPB 55 is the creation of IPB generation who love agriculture, who are able to carve out a great story, who are able to advance the Indonesian nation into an honorable nation. Powered!" He said. (flw)
