IPB Developed the Cooperation with BPJS of Employment

Rector of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Prof.Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, and Director of Social Security Administrator (BPJS) of Employment, Agus Susanto, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Thursday (27/10), in the Meeting Room of Rector, Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, Campus of IPB Darmaga Bogor. This signing was in order to increase the field of actuarial to develop the research of the social security of employment to help create a reliable actuarial workforce in the BPJS of Employment.
The Rector of IPB said that the actuarial of IPB was the undergraduate program for the acturial science such as doctor, engineer, pilot, extension worker and some other professions. The actuarial expert (actuary) was a thriving profession along with increasingly rapid advancement of civilization and increasingly diverse human needs. “BPJS of Employment requires the experts in the field of actuarial, IPB is ready to work together to help bring in the experts or lecturers who are competent in the field of actuarial,” said the Rector.
While, the Director of BPJS conveyed that in order to improve the capacity of organizatio, BPJS of Employment built the institutional cooperation in the human resource development with the educational institutions in this regard IPB. He said, the cooperation with IPB would also be enhanced by conducting the cooperation including the fields of education, research, and community service.
“In the field of education, BPJS of Employment is highly skilled labor shortage in the field of actuarial, so IPB in this case can create the reliable acturial experts and can work in BPJS of Employment. Currently, BPJS of Employment has more than five thousand people of human resources to provide the protection and the services for all workers in Indonesia. With such a large numbers are felt not enough, if the owned competence gets less support or does not meet the necessary criteria,” he explained.
Attending in this occasion among others the Director of Cooperation and International Program of IPB, Dr. Edy Hartulistyoso; the Director of General and Human Resources of BPJS of Employment, Naufal Mahfudz, and the leaders in IPB. (Awl)
