Klub Astronomi Fisika Institut Pertanian Bogor (Physics and Astronomy Club of Bogor Agricultural University), as club to incite and foster interest in the study and practice of Physics, the Physics Research Clubs of IPB organized to view together (nobar) the Partial Solar Eclipse, on 9 March 2016, at the 4th floor of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA IPB) building, Dramaga Campus, Bogor. A special viewer or pinhole was distributed for each visitor. In addition, other facilities to observe the Eclipse such as  telescopes, pinhole, as well as live broadcasts via LCD screen were also provided by  the Organizing Committee,
 
Endah Siti Maryam, as member of the organizing committee for eclipse observation of IPB said that the students’ interest to watch the rare celestial event was so high, as nearly  100 (hundred) students from various faculties and departments of IPB joined the special event. "Two days before the event started, we disseminated the interested event through social media, and unexpectedly, many have responded and showed their interests to join this special activity," she said.
 
The Solar Eclipse Festival held by the Association began at 06:00 – 8:30, at Dramaga Sub-District of Bogor. The partial solar eclipse was visible at 6:20 am, and the maximum eclipse of 88.76% will take place at 7:2a am, it ended at 8:20 am. The event was well-implemented as the weather around Dramaga Campus that morning was sunny morning. This special event was attended by Chairman of the Department of Physics the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics of IPB (FMIPA), Dr. Akhiruddin Maddu, and the Secretary of the FMIPA of  IPB, Dr. Tony Ibn Sumaryada. ***
