The lodaya from sukabumi Won the First Winner for Pelung Chicken National Contest

Himpunan Peternak dan Penggemar Ayam Pelung Indonesia (Hippapi  –  the Association of Breeders and Pelung Chicken Enthusiasts of  Indonesia) of  greater Bogor, West Java and Depok Chapters,  Jakarta Pelungers Urban (JPU ), and in cooperation with the Institute of Research and Community Empowerment of IPB (LPPM IPB) organized  National Contest  for Chicken "Mama Djarkasih Cup 2016", in the Baranangsiang Campus, Bogor,  on 7 February 2016.

 

The first winner for chickens under the voice category was “Lodaya” of Sukabumi, the second winner was “Ageng” of Garut, and the third winner was “Rumingkang” of Banten. For the appearance category, the first winner  was “Tegep” of Garut, second winner was “Gurinda”, and the third winner was “Sunyi”, the second and third winners were from  Bandung. For the weight category, was “Bima” of JPU. Meanwhile, the trophy "Surya Kencana" was awarded for “Lodaya” of Sukabumi.

 

Dr. Agus Oman of LPPM IPB stated that the aims of organizing the competition are  to maintain and preserve the germplasm of pelung chicken, special chicken with have high economic value. This competition was participated by contestants from Sukabumi, Bogor, Garut, Banten, Jakarta, Depok, Bandung, Central Java, and East Java. (Wied).
