Healthy Food Consumption to Worship Umrah and Hajj to Stay Prima

Preparation of Hajj and Umrah should be completed in all aspects. Not only in terms of the procedures for worship, but also the economic aspects of preparation, psychology to health. To maintain the health during the implementation of Hajj and Umrah, it was necessary food that met the nutritional needs. Nutrient intake and a healthy diet would keep the body fit condition for conducting the worship. As stated by Board of Council of Mosque Prosperity / Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid (DKM) Al-Hurriyyah, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Prof.Dr. Sugiyono, as a guest speaker of “Pelatihan Haji dan Umroh 2015 / Training on Hajj and Umrah 2015”, Friday (24/4) in the Meeting Room 1 of Al-Hurriyyah Mosque, Campus of IPB Dramaga Bogor.
 
Lecturer of Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology (Fateta) IPB conveyed, “In choosing food, we should select a varied diet in order to meet the body’s need for nutrients. Eating in sufficient quantities and not excessive, and do not miss the food source of fiber, vitamins and proteins. Drinking water in sufficient quantities, namely two liters per day. And reducing the food that contains lots of sugar such as chocolate, sweet cakes and fizzy drinks. Besides that, do not forget to exercise before leaving for the Holy Land. Optimal health can not be achieved only with the settling just”.
 
On this occasion, Prof. Sugiyono also reminded to pay attention to a healthy way of cooking food. The selection sequence according to ripening the healthy food was steamed, boiled, baked or grilled and fried final choice. He asserted that in order to support the Hajj and Umrah, not to miss eating just because it did not like. “If we do not consume the food because of dislike, it is feared that the body’s need for nutrient is not fulfilled,” he said. 
 
So that the appetite for performing the Hajj and Umrah to stay awake, Prof. Sugiyono provided his tips, “Any food that is before us is a gift from Allah that we must be grateful. Realizing that this food is the result of hard work from production to presentation,” he asserted. (AS)
