The Graduates of Both the Undergraduate and Graduate Programs of Bogor Agricultural University Who Were Graduated at the 51th Anniversary of the University
Again on Wednesday, 3 September 2014, IPB presented its best graduates on its Graduation Day held at Graha Widya Graduation (GWW) Campus Dramaga Bogor. Those graduates will become qualified human resources to develop the agricultural sector in the broad sense. Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc in his remarks stated, "The presentation of certificates and transcript of records for the 1st Phase of the Academic Year 2014/2015, was the graduation of Doctoral and Master degree program, and the Undergraduate Programs of IPB. For this stage, IPB officially graduated 800 graduates, consisted of 27 Doctoral degrees holders, 93 Master degree, 32 Master of Management degree holders, 5 Professional Master holders and 643 Bachelor degree holders. They were the products of nine faculties under the University. "
The present Graduation is a part of the agenda of the 51st Anniversary of IPB, and the theme of this anniversary is “Sistem dan Kompatibilitas IPB untuk Pengarusutamaan Pertanian” (System and Compatibility of IPB for the Mainstreaming of Agriculture". The theme was taken as it is closely related with the roadmap of the 2014 Strategic Plan, which declared that 2014 is the year of System and Compatibility. Achievements made IPB this present year, the University was successfully reached the 4th Rank in Indonesian universities and the 813 in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) published by the Webometric version. We hope IPB alumni can continue to improve and develop existing cooperation for the advancement of the alma mater. Up to the present graduation, IPB has produced 122,932 graduates of all levels. I look forward all graduates to joining the IPB Alumni Association to strengthen our association to be more powerful and compact with the one heart spirit of IPB, "said Rector.

I am really proud to be student of one of the leading state universities in Indonesia. IPB is very instructive and gives valuable experience for my life. To be admitted into IPB is not easy. I have fought and made many struggles to pass all the academic requirements that finally shaped my character better. Sincere thanks are due to my parents who always prayers and support me, as well as for all faculty members particular my supervisor, who had always guided and also my fellow friends. Hopefully the knowledge I gained will be beneficial to our world of agriculture, and IPB will continue to maintain its achievements to be the best university to develop Tri Darma of education for Indonesia.

The first thing made me interested in IPB is its boarding house for TPB students. This residential hall has given the depth impression for me, as it is the first place to know a lot of friends from different parts of Indonesia. For passive students, the dormitory is very effective training tool to socialize and communicate with different people. Coaching in the dorm was also the most effective method in shaping a positive character for the new students. Moreover, in term of student affairs, IPB manages them well, it programs include the provision of scholarships up to PKM programs. Not so many universities in Indonesia pay intens attention for student activities. However, in addition to be focusing on academic achievements, the Student Affairs of IPB proves to be supportive in the development of student interests, talents, creativity, and their social life with a variety of external events. Much success for IPB!

Pursuing into the university degree had been my target since I had been in the junior and senior high school, but I have never dreamed that some day I would be students of IPB. But Allah SWT said differently, Allah bless and leads me to go and to be admitted into one of the leading universities in Indonesia, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). On this campus I learned a lot, and this campus also is the media to make the dreams come true, we should always be thankful to Allah by doing as best as we could to achieve our goals. Food Science and Technology Department of Bogor Agricultural University was the only undergraduate program that I had applied for after I was graduated from the senior High School. I was admitted and by attending Bogor Agricultural University it was my first experience for me to live outside Jakarta. It was not always easy. On the first year, I had been trying to adjust my life to be comfortable to live in dormitory. In the dormitory, I got both good and bad experiences. On the second and third year, as students of Food Science and Technology, we had struggled together to obtain good marks on every subjects. In addition, while we were busy with our academic programs, we also joined some internal student organizations or were selected to be members of organizing committees, thus we had really high pressures at that time! On the fourth year, I took fast track program (the synergetic program of the undergraduate and the Master Degree Program – S1-S2) so I had to manage my undergraduate study program, my research, and my graduate study as well on the same time. Sometimes, it was so overwhelming but Thanks God I was able to finalize most of them except my Master degree program. Thank you IPB for such a great experiences given to me in the last four years.

I completed my undergraduate study program from IPB, one of the leading universities in Indonesian, 12 (twelve) year ago. I was really honored to be able to enroll in this wellknown university, the world-class university. IPB has been accredited university with good accreditation, a center of excellence on agricultural sciences in the broadest sense, the trend setter in higher education and has resulted many innovations. First impressions the first time I was at the university, the quality academic environment, and hectic of project assignments, and qualified faculty members. IPB is not just a place to seek knowledge and improve skills but also the place to develop our professional networks. The other challenge was to complete the assignments given by the lecturers appropriately. The effects of those programs make me to be best in finalizing my degree program. IPB !! Oh ….. IPB. One of the dreaming campus for our new generations to pursue their higher education. Yes, I was graduated from the Mater of Business Management of IPB, but my higher degree program all were spent at this University. I started my higher degree program from the Directorate of the Diploma Program for my D3, then to be continued to the undergraduate program at the same university. IPB always provides the opportunity to develop our own potentials and I have taken one of these opportunities. There are a lot of opportunities being offered by this University, hectic assignments, friendly colleagues, and the dedicated faculty members which will become the core of this campus up to the end of the world.

The most valuable impression while undertaking the degree program at IPB, particularly the doctoral degree program was the quality service in the learning processes and the dynamic of its internal organizational s (WACANA IPB). Thus, learning process at IPB has been more convenient. I prefer to call "IPB" with special connotations "Inilah Perguruan Tinggi Besar (This is the large. Of Higher Education)". The large university does not mean the larger building” or a large number of it academic community, but the word "large" here means the big support for "the quality of its academic system" which is "very large". IPB has designed quality "software" which is capable on any "hardware" even though they will change constantly. Therefore, I request anyone who are interested in IPB and plan to be student of this University, they are certainly will get the best, it is similar to its motto ““Searching and Serving the Best”.
