BEM KM IPB Presents State Creation For the Nation inAgrinex Expo 2013

Student Executive Council of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB)(BEM KM),has proclaimedits2013 cabinet as "State Creationfor the Nation". Such name was taken as the University has achieved to produce various innovations. Mr.DeryRamdhan Pratama, the Minister of Agriculture of BEM KM IPB who was interviewed at the BEM KM IPB stand at the Agrinex Expo 2013, in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), on 6 April 2013 expressed, "The current vision of BEM KM IPB, we will create and collaborate with all students to affirm internal strengthening organizations on campus. With the creations so many new things have been created to be utilized as alternative solution for the national  agricultureproblemse. "

 

"Students of IPB have been noted for their superior innovations in agricultural fields. Many of their innovations have been utilized as alternative solutionsfor the nation current problems, "Dery added. BEM KM IPB realized the great potentialscoming from student analysis. "Whenever they go to the fields, students produce something new. Those have been the achievements made by IPB students. For example, last year in the Student Creativity Program (PKM) IPB out of the 30 percent of works which were funded by the Directorate General of Higher Education, 20 percentof them were from IPB, "said Dery.

 

Stand of BEM KM IPB at the Agrinex Expo 2013 exhibited some of the innovations produced by students of IPB, some of which were Sandwich Tempe Crispy, SeokGu (spoons which is made from tapioca which is consumable), Horta Dolls, and other variety of creative innovations. The innovations created by IPB students have been applied for BinaDesa program (community empowerment) in villages for the economic development of those communities. "BEM KM IPB tries to direct its programs to assist the communities to enable them mobilize their potentialities to change the socialhabits as a real solution in the community," said Dery.

 

Agriculture Minister KM IPB BEM request the communities in large to love local products. "With little creations we can produce innovation. The source of  innovations donot always from academicians, but they may also initiated by public. When there is a will, there is a way, "said Dery. He also stated that students of IPB are committed to develop  the agriculture of Indonesia.(Wied).
