IPB University 2025, Become an Innopreneur University
The Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria explained the milestones of IPB University in 2024-2028 in the Development Plan Consultation (Musrenbang) of IPB University in 2024.
On that occasion, Prof Arif Satria said, IPB University still refers to the vision to become a techno-socio entrepreneurial university whose name is simplified to become an innopreneur university.
In that vision, IPB University has five goals that become a reference: 1) producing excellent graduates, 2) producing superior research and innovation, 3) determining the future scientific vision, 4) determining the direction of national policy, and 5) becoming a pioneer in the development of modern higher education management systems.
“Of course, being proactive in solving community problems and determining the direction of this national policy is important because it is a momentum opportunity for us to be able to be a solution to national problems,” he said in the 2024 IPB University Musrembang which was held at the IPB International Convention Centre (IICC), Bogor.
Regarding the milestone of IPB University, he explained, the theme of 2025 is innopreneurship, value creation for community and industry. In this case, Prof Arif wants the process of accelerating IPB University’s superior innovation works to be accelerated. At the same time, all students and lecturers of IPB University also have an impact on progress and change.
The IPB University program for 2025 is formulated based on responses to strategic issues, for the internally, nationally, and globally. One of the national strategic issues is the change of direction, policy and work program in the field of higher education and agromaritis in the new government.
“The priority program in 2025 according to the Strategic Plan (Renstra) of IPB University is useful research, increased research collaboration for academic enrichment, improvement of scientific publications, community development, strategic policy, as well as innovation and business for the improvement of the national economy. Then downstream of innovation for the creation of added value to the community and the business world and the industrial world (DUDI),” said Prof Arif.
He added, the Abdimas Nusantara program such as the expansion of agromaritime learning centres in the countryside of the archipelago, especially the food security and nutrition program is also a priority program of IPB University in 2025.
Responding to this, the Chairman of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Prof Dadan Hindayana who was also present at the Musrenbang, said that BGN was formed to carry out the priority program of the elected president, Prabowo Subianto. He is in charge of supervising the Free Nutritious Eating program.
“There are three stages in the Free Nutritious Meal program. The first stage, increasing access to healthy food. The second stage, increasing knowledge and awareness of good food consumption (healthy food). The third stage, habituation/culture of healthy living behaviours that indicate good nutritional status, low morbidity, low mortality, high school participation, a large decrease in medical costs and an increase in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the long term,” said Prof Dadan.
As an academic and Professor of IPB University, Prof. Dadan hopes that the IPB University campus can accompany to prove its role in the field of agromaritimes. In addition, the Free Nutritious Meal program is expected to be sustainable considering the impact is very good for the Indonesian nation. (Ns/Rz) (IAAS/IAN)
