Landscape Architecture Degree Program Receives Two Prestigious Accreditation

Program Degree (S1) Landscape Architecture achieve national accreditation from the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT) and international accreditation from the International Federation of Landscpe Architects – Asia Pacific (IFLA-APR).  BAN-PT Accreditation PS S1 Landscape Architecture is determined through SK BAN-PT number 2102 / SK / BAN-PT / Accredited / S / VII / 2019 which is valid from 2 July 2019 to 2 July 2024. Meanwhile, for IFLA Accreditation applies five  year, from 2018 to 2023.

Accreditation BAN-PT has an emphasis on the implementation process of assessment and graduate academic learning.  Process visitation of BAN-PT held on 23-25 ??June 2019 with the assessor Prof.  Ananto Yudono from Makassar Hasanudin University and Prof. Bambang Setioko from Diponegoro University Semarang.  The results of the visitation, S1 Studies Program of Landscape Architecture achieve accreditation category "A".

As for international accreditation, IFLA-APR emphasizes IFLA standard competency assessment and learning outcomes.  Visitation was held on 9-10 April 2018 with assessors from IFLA-APR namely Mike Barthelmeh from the School of Landscape Architecture, Lincoln University, New Zealand.  The IFLA-APR assessor was carried out together with two panel assessors from the Indonesian Landscape Architect Association (IALI) namely Prof.  Rustam Hakim (Trisakti University) and Dr.  Budi Faisal (ITB).  From the results of the visitation, PS S1 International Accreditation of Landscape Architecture achieve IFLA-APR.

The acquisition of national accreditation and international accreditation is the result of good cooperation internally from lecturers, students and educational staff in the department as well as cooperation with external parties starting from the Faculty of Agriculture, departments in the Faculty of Religion, institutions and external parties such as alumni and graduate users.

With national and international accreditation, it is expected that PS ARL can support the IPB 4.0 Curriculum Re-Orientation Program and create a "Powerful Agile Learner" that can meet the demands of the millennial era.  (* / ris)
