This IPB Student Successfully Spawn 3 Unique Animal Series Books
Three books on the unique animal house series entitled Roro Rescue Dam, Tempur Kuki Protector and Ratu Bee Bee Palace by Yazidah Nur Rahmah, students of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), contain educational stories for children. The House of Unique Animals series tells the story of a unique animal house with characters and characters.
For example Kuki, the turtle who is often ridiculed for always taking his home everywhere but finally can protect his friends. Roro, the Beaver who realized the importance of the dam house due to an incident. And finally Queen Bee, where we learn the importance of cooperation and mutual help.
"With the insertion of scientific knowledge and the values of character education this book can certainly be a new learning medium for children today," said the student from the Faculty of Family and Consumer Sciences Department, Human Ecology (Fema).
Yazidah hopes that her book can help children get scientific knowledge and values of character education more pleasantly. Yazidah also hopes that this book will become a medium to further embed children with their parents through activities that tell stories in books.
Yazidah has a hobby of writing diaries since childhood. His meeting with Fadila Hanum, an accomplished writer, succeeded in realizing his dream of writing a book. As a result, this good collaboration spawned three books published by Tiga Serangkai.
"There is an idea between me and Fadilah Hanum to write educative storybooks for children. Finally we sent the script to the publisher. Had waited for three months in 2017, finally the text was successfully received by the publisher. After going through the editing process, collaborating with illustrators and consulting with expert consultants (Biology Postgraduate students at IPB), finally these three books can be found at Gramedia in Java, "he said.
Yazidah wants to invite children to enjoy reading books. He wants children to be interested in reading books again and apart from being addicted to games and gadgets. Therefore, Yazidah made this book as light as possible for children with funny and weighty illustrations and there were scientific elements in it.
