Organizations or associations for students often experience various problems. Association members sometimes become passive, less communicative, and confused about managing their own time. As a result, members of the association are less creative and productive.

Pondok Inspirasi (Pondasi), Ruber Academy, and Indonesian Leaders together with the Soil Science Student Association (HMIT) IPB University collaborated to conduct Youth Coaching Movement activities to upgrade their members. This is an activity to strengthen the skill set of HMIT IPB University members to solve problems in the organization with a coaching approach.

Upgrading this time presented coaches from Pondasi, namely Apriyani Supriatna, Welas Sri Mulyati, Risky Sherly Putri, and Abdul Haris Zulkarnain with the theme 'Become an Impactful Young Leaders'. This activity was attended by 54 members of HMIT IPB.

The activity took place with several sessions to foster a sense of strengthening the resources and potential of each member. The approach through coaching is carried out with several sessions including identifying problems, recognizing self-potential, self-strength, and finally the action plan. HMIT IPB University participants followed with enthusiasm and had fun through coaching card games.

"The coaching activities carried out with coach Pondasi in the upgrading session are very useful for us in running the wheels of the organization in the future, because we are taught to explore problems and find solutions by looking at the potential and strengths of each member's resources," said Septian, a member of HMIT IPB University.

Therefore, he continued, in every student association it is important for members and leaders to understand each other's dreams, potential, and strengths to optimize existing resources. That way, a dynamic and proactive association will be formed in its environment.

"Finally, this coaching is also expected by HMIT IPB University members so that a sense of belonging and respect arises to all members of the association," hoped Septian. (*/Rz) (IAAS/TNY)
