IPB University Receives 7.5 Billion Rupiah Grant from West Java Province

IPB University received a grant from the West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov Jabar) worth 7.5 billion rupiah. Head of the People's Welfare Bureau, Drs H Barnas Ajidin, MM, MMPd representing the Governor of West Java handed over the grant directly to the Vice Rector of IPB University in the field of Resource Resilience and Infrastructure, Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet STP, M.Si., at Gedung Sate, Bandung, (17/4).
The handover of the grant was also witnessed by the Secretary of the Institute, Prof Agus Purwito, M.Sc.Agr., Vice Dean of Vocational School (SV) in the field of Cooperation and Development Resources, Dr Wawan Oktariza and Manager of SV IPB Sukabumi, Dr Ujang Sehabudin.
The 7.5 billion grant consists of a grant for the operation of the Study Program Outside the Main Campus (PSDKU)/Vocational School of IPB Sukabumi Campus amounting to Rp 5 billion and facility development worth Rp 2.5 billion.
"The grant is used in an effort to improve the service and quality of education, especially in 6 Diploma 4 Study Programs at the IPB Vocational School Sukabumi Campus, as well as to improve campus infrastructure such as roads, drainage / channels, sports facilities and field laboratories," said Dr Ujang.
In addition, he continued, with this grant, it is hoped that in addition to improving educational services and the completeness of campus facilities, it can also ensure the sustainability of the development and distribution of higher education in the West Java region.
This is a form of West Java Provincial Government's commitment to facilitate the implementation of PSDKU IPB Sukabumi so that the gross enrollment rate (APK) of West Java universities (PT) will increase.
Other universities that also received West Java Provincial Government grants were the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) for the ITB Cirebon Campus, the Indonesian University of Education, Bandung Polytechnic and Nusa Bangsa University Bogor. (dh/Rz) (IAAS/NVA)
