IPB Held Management Coordination Meeting

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) holds a Management Coordination Meeting IPB to equate perception, convey information and capture input in the process of good education and high quality and policy forward. This event is hold at IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Campus IPB Baranangsiang, Bogor (16/7).
Rector of IPB in this case represented by Vice Rector of Resources, Planning and Finance, Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Purwito, M.Sc.Agr says that IPB's Long Term Plan (RJP-IPB) 2019-2045 has confirmed IPB to be Techno-Socio-Entrepreneurial University. Thus, the contribution and role of IPB in the future will be more demanded in the empowerment and enrichment of Indonesian society (Social Enrichment), while focusing on superior quality education, superior and leading research, and able to be the solution of the nation's problems.
"The strategic agenda of IPB in this case is called IPB 4.0 covering IPB Care, IPB Green, IPB Biz, IPB Smart, IPB Lead, IPB Excel and IPB Share," he says.
Prof. Agus adds that the focus of IPB in the future is related to the three development goals in education. Namely complete laboratory equipment, employee welfare (lecturers and educational staff), and Information Technology (IT).
"In the field of equipment, we will continue to improve and complete with maximum. In the field of welfare, IPB continues to hold discussions for improvements of the System of Return Services (SIJ) and in the IT field, we continue to develop programs that integrate the system and the development of internet networks to a better direction, "he says.
On this occasion, every vice rector presents the policy that will be implemented at least in one year. Prof. Agus also presented policies on human resource management, finance and planning. According to the source of funding IPB there are two sources of funds from the government and the source of funds from the community.
Basis for designing program / activity 2018 includes estimated revenue (APBN, BPPTN BH, DM, DM-Kerjasama), priority programs and basic needs, proposed programs / activities at Planning and Development Deliberation (Musrembang), previous year activities and government assignment programs . The IPB Work Plan and Budget (RKA) of 2018 was decided by the Board of Trustees (MWA) No. 35 / MWA-IPB / 2017 dated October 27, 2017.
Vice Rector for Innovation, Business and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Ir. Erika Budiarti Laconi, MS, describes the policy of innovation development, entrepreneurship, business and commercial assets. IPB continues to develop and shape business opportunities in the era of industrial revolution 4.0.
"IPB will develop IPB Nusantara Coffee Shop and IPB Biz Travel and Tour. Everything is online-web based and android based. In addition we also develop integrated IPB business unit system. Financial accounting of business units will be integrated real time. There will be workshops and training in business units, "he explains.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Information System, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, M.Sc.F describes the policy of cooperation development and international relations. Prof. Dodik coordinates the implementation of duties in the pioneering and development of national cooperation and strengthening the relationship of alumni in order to advance the field of academics and non academics.
Its function is the pioneering and implementation of negotiations with national cooperation partners academic and non academic, strengthening synergy and cooperation with research institutions, government agencies, private and non-government institutions mutually beneficial, coordination with the work unit in the implementation of agreed cooperation, data of cooperation in all work units within IPB and monitoring, evaluation of national cooperation implementation, alumni data management to build strategic cooperation and monitoring and evaluation of cooperation implementation with IPB Alumni Association.
Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Drajat Martianto, M.Sc explains about education and student development policy. The direction of the development of higher education policy is implied in the form of the need for increased competing skills that are more knowledge-based (knowledge based society).
According to him, higher education should be able to produce two important things that are character and creative people based on the mastery of science, and technological innovation through the convergence of various branches of science. Innovation in the sense of technology that has been manifested in the form of industrial activities that create jobs so that directly impact on improving welfare. "Both of these things are impossible to realize without the development of a quality culture in college," he says.
In addition to the vice rectors, the Secretary of the Institute, Dr. Aceng Hidayat also explains about the procurement policy of goods and services as well as public services. Head of the Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM), Dr.Ir. Aji Hermawan, MM explained on policy research and community service, and Head of the Institute of Development Institute, Dr. Ir. Ernan Rustiadi, M.Agr explained on IPB development policy.
