Department of Marine Science and Technology (ITK), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Bogor Agricultural University (FPIK of IPB) was always striving to be ahead in the field of technology, including in the field of design and construction of an instrument. Under the care of an instrument club named Marine Instrumentation and Telemetry (MIT), it was carried out an exhibition of instruments which had been made by the members of MIT.

The instruments made by some members of MIT were pretty much, such as Mobile tide waterlevel instrument (Motiwali) – tide gauges, and Water Temperature Data Logger to store the water surface temperature data. Other instruments were Drifter to measure the direction and speed of surface currents in the Lagrangian, Sea Sphere to measure the direction and speed of the flow of the water column in the Lagrangian, the ship, the rocket of EDF, thr rocket payload, and ROV for underwater visualization.

The activity of Marine Techno Fair was held on Wednesday (2/3) in Poseidon Corner, 2nd floor of FPIK. In the event, there were also attended by Prof.Dr. Indra Jaya as a club builder of MIT and Dr. Wayan Nurjaya as Chairman of Department of ITK of FPIK of IPB. Initiation of the activity of this Marine Techno Fair was to demonstrate the existence of MIT club itself that few people knew what was done. Other than that, this activity also accommodated the students who were curious on the work system of an instrument through the posters mounted, the video aired, and frequently asked questions to the makers of these instruments.

For the next plan, the members of MIT would make the progress on the instruments that had been made, both the development/improvement of electronic control system, the program control system, and the mechanical frame/parts. In addition to the field of marine, not often MIT followed the competitions in the field of aerospace, like Komurindo and Kombat 2016. Komurindo itself was a competition in the field of rocket and rocket payload, while kombat was a competition in the field of cargo air balloon. The purpose of this activity was to add the experience and to apply the knowledge which had been acquired during education and training program under the auspices of the MIT club. For this year, the plan would follow the competition of Komurindo-Kombat which would be held in August 2016.***
